Glastonbury godsend
My partner and I used these at Glastonbury, and I have to say they were incredibly useful as a back-up plan when we were too rough to make the trek to the toilets. They can take a surprising amount of liquid, and we didn't have any issues with bags leaking. My only tip: make sure you position it properly before you go for it!

Super weird idea, but wow does it work!
Lifesaver - super weird idea, but wow does it work! We're wild camping in the Outer Hebrides, and without formal campgrounds planned, I wanted a fall-back toilet option for myself. Thank goodness, as some of the areas we've been in don't offer much cover. As a female, this makes any inconvenience/mess/frustration/embarrassment out of needing to pee whilst there is no toilet or cover in site. You need to get over how awkward it is to try in the first place, as well as the anxiety over spills. Once you do, its easy to use (even in a tent) and it seriously is no spill and no smell afterwards. You can even keep your trousers up provided they are loose enough for your bag to sit in the leg.Bring wet wipes to wipe down the top of it for added cleanliness assurance.Downside is that they didn't last quite as long as I expected - obviously this depends on how much you use it, but it's not practical to use all the time if there are other good options available (I'm also using a GoGirl). However, its a lifesaver in the evening, busy camping areas with no facilities, and in a downpour when you don't want to leave the tent to hunt for a spot!

Festival lifesaver
Bought these for Glastonbury and they saved me from having to walk to the long drops in the rain and/or first thing in the morning! You need to be a bit careful with your aim once you've had a few beers, but that's the same for any shewee-type funnel. Good product

Great for Festivals
We had read on a festival forum about these and how good they are for your tent at festivals. We ordered these to use at Glastonbury and was probably one of the best festival purchase we made along with the disposable toilet seat covers we bought. These bags are suitable for both male and female use and although slightly odd at first they were extremely useful for your tent as avoided the 5 minute walk to the toilet at night or going in a bush and damaging the land.It does say you can reuse the bags, although I tried this once and found it did not solidify properly and had to then pour into another bag, despite not being to capacity. Therefore I would recommend you only use it once.Would highly recommend these to any festival or campers as you will find these are great at night, especially if you have been on the beers!

great for use when camping
It took me a while to pluck up the courage to use one of these but as I have a separate section in the front of our tent I don't have to use it in-front of my husband which is a great help. He even borrowed one himself!

Brilliant essential when when camping or travelling.
Okay, no one really wants to use these, but if you are camping they are essential. They work for men and women and although it took me a day or two to decide to use it (there were facilities nearby) it really was a perfect solution for when you get caught short at night or while travelling, especially with young kids. They are small and can easily fit in a bag when unused. Once used, the bag that comes as part of the travel john crystal up like a kids nappy, so there are no leaks or spills after use. It works really quick and can take about 1-2 liters of liquid. You dispose of them in a nappy bin.

They work absolutely brilliantly. I wouldn't exactly call them discreet in use ...
I work in a job where getting to a loo is sometimes impossible so I carry one of these in my bag at all times. They work absolutely brilliantly. I wouldn't exactly call them discreet in use like they try to advertise but for their actual end purpose I would highly recommend them. The advantages over a shewee is that they are disposable and you don't have to worry about carrying around a funnel in need of a wash. The gel ball things are very absorbant so there is no slopping around while you look for a bin. I would imagine these would be indespensible to anyone who needs to go but can't find anywhere to do so...!

which is fine if you're in a tent and can hold it ...
Taken to Glastonbury 2014 as an emergency middle-of-the-night-tent measure. The action of the gel is NOT as instant as shown on their videos. Left for several minutes the gel just about managed to absorb everything, which is fine if you're in a tent and can hold it upright while it's working. Because of this slowness I didn't take it with me during the day for emergency crowd situations.
