Kaps Shoe Care Cream, Intensive Leather Care and Nourishing, Delicate, 70 colours

Good quality shoe cream. Stippled onto surface of leather shoes to repair blemishes with soft cloth and left to dry before lightly polishing shoes following morning. Very good colour match— over 70 colours are in the range so good choice.

Really good product for my scuffed up green shoes

I have a lovely pair of sandals which had faded in the sun. This colour was a perfect match and made my faithful friends look youthful again. It also conditioned the leather well. Happy.

Absolutely love this shoe cream, which I haven’t been able to find in my local shops. I use it at the end of each school week, and by the end of the school year it adds a much needed freshened up look for my children’s shoes. To apply it I use an old soft sponge and wear nitrile gloves. It’s very easy to apply, and doesn’t leave the leather with a shine as liquid shoe polish does. The colour stayed nice and matte which is exactly what I want. The coverage is excellent, even on very worn leather. Absolute value for money, would highly recommend, especially for leather school shoes that are shown no mercy on the playground

Works well. Quite economical

After buying the colours in this polish and it covering all scratches immediately. I was disappointed with the white although it definitely covered some scuffs it took more effort with toe scuffs.

Very good coverage. Not too shiny. Improved my shoes at least 95%. Colour match was good too.

Good product ruined by not being able to open the jar. I had to get get a hammer to the edges of the cap before I could screw it off the jar. Product easy to apply to golf shoes.

Da unser Junior nach zwei Wintern nun endgültig aus seinen Winterstiefeln herausgewachsen ist, stand das Thema Einlagerung für den nächsten Abkömmling an. Wer Kinder im Alter von fünf Jahren hat, kann sich vorstellen, wie die Stiefel aussahen: Das Leder war vom ständigen Kontakt mit Sand, Schlamm und Pfützen sichtlich mitgenommen. Normalerweise nutze ich bei der Schuhpflege Produkte von Burgol. Aber man muss realistisch bleiben: Bevor die Stiefel vom nächsten Kind wieder erbarmungslos durch den Matsch getrieben werden, wollte ich ungern 30€ für Pomade und Wachs in einer exotischen Farbe ausgeben. Ich suchte also eine pragmatische Lösung, die gut deckt, aber das Budget schont. Die Wahl fiel dann eher spontan auf die Schuhcreme von Kaps. Die Lieferung ging fix, und ich habe mir für die Rettungsaktion etwas Zeit genommen: Zuerst wurden die Stiefel gründlich gebürstet und mit Sattelseife gewaschen. Nach dem Trocknen gab es eine Runde Conditioner. Zur reinen Pflegewirkung der Kaps-Creme kann ich daher schwer ein isoliertes Urteil abgeben, da ich die Basisversorgung lieber dem Conditioner überlassen habe. Ich habe zwei dünne Schichten aufgetragen und zum Schluss Nähte und Leder noch mit einem Lederfett versiegelt. Das Ergebnis hat mich wirklich positiv überrascht. Die Deckkraft ist für diese Preisklasse ausgezeichnet. Die abgestoßenen Stellen sind farblich sehr gut angeglichen und die Stiefel sehen tatsächlich fast aus wie neu. Ein Detail am Rande: Da ich Schuhcreme meist mit der bloßen Hand auftrage, merkt man haptisch durchaus den Unterschied zur Premiumklasse. Die Kaps fühlt sich nicht ganz so reichhaltig an wie die Pendants von Saphir oder Burgol und natürlich ist da auch die Deckkraft eine bessere. Das ist angesichts des günstigen Preises aber völlig in Ordnung und verzeihlich. Hand aufs Herz: Meine Church’s würde ich weiterhin mit meinen gewohnten Produkten pflegen. Aber für den Daily Beater oder eben das Aufmöbeln von stark beanspruchten Kinderschuhen ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hier unschlagbar. Also, wer eine günstige Creme mit ordentlich Pigmentierung für den Alltagseinsatz sucht, macht hier nichts falsch.

I was glad I'd read comments which suggests this product requires care when opened. I didn't find it too sloppy but then I live in a cool climate. The product is fabulous, worked well on tan boots as well as all my brown belts. It did darken slightly a light brown belt. "Sand" is a curious name for what is basically a mid-brown. The container is great too, with a screw lid it should remain useable for years, unlike those boot polish tins you press to pop (they don't) of with the small wings. This product should also last a long time as minimal amounts are required to get a good finish. The only downside with this product is that it seems to be on the way out: few places sell it and Amazon has only a half dozen colours when the page clearly states "70 colours". Grab some while you can, it really is a great product at a modest price.

Easy to apply and it leaves a semi-glossy finish after brushing. Howbeit need a ventilated space while applying the cream.
