My fire and surround arrived earlier than expected. It was very well packaged with no damage whatsoever. Fire looks really good in my lounge as a focal point. Love the mood lighting. Easy to assemble.

Outstanding fireplace suite. I am amazed at the speed of delivery just two days from placing my order, the delivery guy was very professional and friendly. He asked where I wanted the fireplace to go and he showed great care in his handling of both packages, which had no damage. My thanks to the delivery man.The fireplace is partly self assembly, as the mantel shelve, two side panels and the hearth are already assembled, they just needed to be attached to other panels. I found it very easy assemble, the fitting are supplied and are excellent quality. This fireplace is extremely well made all holes matched up perfectly. The instructions are clear. I found no damage at all including any chips, just so perfect.The actual fire is fantastic the coals look so real and the flame is the best that I have seen. The chrome is just lovely. The remote control is very easy to use it can turn on or off, change the flame setting with a total of four to choose from and adjust the temperature , set to timer to come on and a lot more. the hand control is neat and stylish and lights up on the window display. And the remote has a range from 4 metres (13 feet).I just love the back ground LED lights, there are 12 different lights which are stunning, the lights are also controlled by remote. I am so pleasedand happy, roll on the winter ! My sincere thanks to the seller and I would buy again and I strongly recommend this Cayton fireplace to anyone

Absolutely beautiful fire & surround, easy to build too.

Dispatched faster than I thought.Very well packaged boxes, one for fire and the other for the self assembly surround mantle.After unpacking, all items checked off with instructions and fittings and no scratches or damaged pieces observed.Putting together was simple for me using just a Philips as advised and been careful not to cause a scratch on the facure.When the surround mantle is up its very strong and sturdy, all pre drilled holes matched up, no warps but the top last part needs technical tap with hand to become flush before final screws.The fire slots in and can be fixed depending on choice to a wall, I did ot do this as unit is steady against wall with skirting board allowing a little ventilation.In less than an hour from unpacking and putting together it was up and running and tested with the remote.All worked as described in manual for operation, many surround lights one in pic but upto 13, ours we set for a mood change around every 20 secs for 13 nice colours.The fire has 3 choices for flame affect and brightness control for all effects.Very nice alone without the heat on but set the heat going and it was as expected depending on temp selected.All in all its a good product and I would recommend it to others but only at a lower price.I just feel its not worth over 300 pounds I payed mainly because of the self assembly and the actual surround mantle.It looks and feels more like an IKEA module but glossy.Any knock or dropped object would in my opinion leave marks unable to remove, especially the base and top.This is why I have not given 5 stars all round based on price.I can imagine with kids in household the base would get a few knocks, been there and done that.As can be seen by pic, Wife yet to decorate unit.

The media could not be loaded. Absolutely delighted with this fire and surround. It was really easy to put together. I am a 66 Yr old female with osteoarthritis and it only took me 3 hours all together that's with a couple of coffee breaks lol 😆 love the mood lighting I can change colour according to how I feel. The flame effect is really cozy looking and silent not like my old fire that made a grating sound. Overall well worth the money definitely recommend to anyone who likes the look of this fire.

I was searching for an electric fireplace for some time, until I found this one. Looked very stylish, elegant and would add a homely note in my living room. I have to say, it looks so so much better in real! Very stylish and elegant, looks more expensive than it actually is and has become the focal point in my living room. The delivery was very quick (arrived 2 days after purchase) and the price was unbeatable. You can have it as freestanding and plug in the fire, or you can hardwire it- it depends on what you wish to do. Has different LED colours to choose from and the fan is not too noisy. Produces a lot of heat and switches off once it reaches the desired temperature. Only downside is that electricity is so expensive nowadays, so the fire is not very cosy effective. But I wouldn't personally give this too much consideration, as you can just keep the flames on and enjoy your fireplace :) I have already recommended this fireplace to my friends and is super important to support British companies, so thank you very much! :)

Really beautiful fire and surround. Heat output is excellent, slight noise but nothing that is displeasing. The remote control is so handy, does all the functions you require. I'm a 64 year old woman with disabilities and managed easily to put it together by myself.
