Q: What skirt for lightshade would this have?

You need the light fitting which has the square connections. It was fitted in my house when it was built 15 years ago.

Q: is the plastic notch on the edges of the bulb fitting to the centre or off centre? I'm struggling to find one that fits.

To be fair, I used the knife to chop that bit off... struggled to find one as well but the light worked even without it
