I usually never write reviews, but I had to this time. I had a slight wave to my hair, my whole life but now in my 60s, my hair has changed dramatically. I now have true curly hair. I have tried so many products on my new curly hair, which is also fine, and none of them seem to hold the curl all day long and also tame any frizziness throughout the day. Evolv not only stops all frizziness. It defined my curls holds my curls while keeping my hair soft and beautiful. I cannot recommend this product more highly than I am doing right now. Try it you’re gonna love it.

The only good thing about this product is that it’s non toxic. This product is expensive and brings little product. My hair is curly (type 3b/c) and its protein sensitive. This has no moisture and no hold. It felt like it stripped my hair, maybe because it has protein. I think this is best for folks with wavy or straight hair.

Hold without being sticky, drying or flaky. It's worth a try.

Definitely not strong hold. I barely got a cast. It left my hair feeling "producty". For the price, there are many better gels out there.

I have tried a lot of wavy/curly hair products in the last year and a half since I started getting American Waves (a perm alternative that turns my “not quite straight” hair into beachy waves). I’m enjoying the experimentation, but if I had to pick a “desert island” product, it would be Dreamgel.My hair is fine, low-ish density, moderately damaged due to chemical processing (American Wave and color glosses), and easily weighed down.The high-definition look that is popular with curly hair influencers looks harsh on me, so I flailed around a lot before getting a consult with YouTube’s Curly Chelle, who recommended that I try creamy gels to get the soft, fluffy, bouncy waves I’m looking for.I usually do wavy styling (sopping wet rake and scrunch or rake and shake, then diffuse), but I have also used Dreamgel to do a blowout with my Dyson Airwrap for special occasions, and I got silky, bouncy curls that lasted for three days.If you want the soft fluffy look, I also recommend Ecoslay Orange Marmalade, Virtue 6-in-1, and Miss Jessie’s Pillow Soft Curls, but those are lighter hold than Dreamgel, so my hair looked scruffier on subsequent days. (I would call Dreamgel medium hold, not strong.). If you wash your hair every day or every other day, or if you don’t mind layering on another gel or mousse (increasing the definition), these are all great options too.
