1 Year Update: Still no regrets. Initial batteries have lasted the full year. Finger print reader still works although can be a bit picky sometimes. I would suggest putting in a couple entries per finger. I also don't recommend the auto lock, its just annoying. It sounds like a great security feature but constantly locking when you dont want it to.....like when the door is open or partially closed while unloading groceries. I suspect the negative review about battery life are tied to auto lock.Initial Review: After three weeks, we are satisfied with the lock and handle. Quality construction and fairly easy to install. a few minor gripes (note, still a 5 star rating). #1) the full handle version requires another hole through the door at the very bottom with a large washer and screw seen from the inside. Just looks odd. See picture I attached. Not a big deal. #2) The inside module that holds the batteries and motor is black plastic. The rest of the design is quality looking but having a black plastic wort on the inside of your house is less than aesthetic. I figured with a week prior to my 30 day return being up, I would go ahead and void the warranty and paint it white. See picture attached. looks much better. #3) In those same photos, you can see my other minor gripe. The position of the deadbolt seen from the inside is impossible to see. We are used to looking at our previous deadbolt and visually seeing it is locked or unlocked but black on black is difficult to see from any distance. I remedied that while painting by masking the center of the turn nob. See pics. A few other misc comments. We turned off the auto lock feature. Easy to do with some keypad button pushes. It just got annoying with the door locking all the time and it locks no matter what, even if door is open while making several trips to get groceries. We turned off the keypad beeps, drives our dogs crazy. Sometimes after yardwork or wet hands, the fingerprint reader won't pick up the finger print, but that is to be expected. Its nice you can enter a code and get it to open. No issues with battery life....but only three weeks. I don't expect an issue with the auto door lock off though. It has not seen direct sunlight yet being summer. If if makes it through the winter baking in direct sunlight, will be impressed. So far, so good.

First of all, this is a great product: looks beautiful and solid, easy to set up and works smoothly for the first month since I installed it.Now to the downside of it: this is a replacement of my old lock, so the holes are already there. I have a thick door, close to 2”. There’s no issues with the installation of the top lock assembly. However, the handle set can not be opened from outside. I can open it from inside. I opened the handle lever and found the square axis in the middle (sorry, this may be the wrong name of the part) has two separate parts, a shorter one for the handle set outside, a longer one for the handle lever inside, roughly 3:7 ratio. There is no way it will work if the hole for the latch is in the middle line of your 2” door. The hole needs to be closer to the outside. I do not want to expand the existing hole, so I made a new axis using material from my old lock, roughly 5:5, and now it works!

I started researching Kwikset brands but either couldn't find what i wanted or it was too expensive. After reading reviews on this one I bought it. WHAT TOOK ME SO LONG TO UPGRADE?! My favorite feature is the fingerprint! no fumbling for keys or putting in a code(all though it does have these features) especially when your hands are full. It stores up to 20 passcodes and fingerprints. Does not have wifi capability. Very easy to install, my 16 year old followed a youtube video that walked him through installation & programming, about 30 minutes top. Do not let this deal slip by.

Installation was simple, but the mechanical functions weren't working properly. It wouldn't let me set the new master code. I called customer service for Teeho and got someone on the line quite quickly. So many times customer services reps can be patronizing, but she was incredible! Ultimately, I ended up sending her a video of attempting to reset the lock and set up the master code and she said it was definitely not working the way it should and recommended a return or exchange. Later in the day, I remembered that the UPS driver had thrown the package. I had heard a loud thump and looked out my window and he was standing in the lawn at the bottom of my porch and his arm was up in a follow-through position from a football toss. He stood in the grass, took a pic, and left. So...yeah...a thrown package will result in a mechanical failure. I received my exchange yesterday and the packages had been placed nicely in the corner of my porch. Installation was a breeze, especially since I had done it previously. The new one worked as it was supposed to. Easy to set up the new master code. Got all of the kids fingerprints and codes set up and no problems with those features. However, the auto lock time delay feature is not working. It was one of the things I was most excited about because the teens never remember to lock the door behind them. They'll just have to remember to push the button now. Also, keep in mind that the bottom handle needs an additional hole drilled into the door on the lower end of it. There is a threaded rod on the lower end that goes into the door and gets screwed on the inside. Not a big deal, but make sure you have the proper tools to drill through your door if you plan to DIY.

I love this keyless entry. Seeing my daughters always leave their keys at home. Now they can just walk up there push the code or scan their finger and get in the house. It was really easy to install only thing i needed to do was drill a hole a bit lower than the old handle had a hole. Love it would recommend this product to anyone.

This thing did not last even three months. The lock is made out of cheap, brittle metal. Clear made in China regrate later handle. You need much better for a door that will be the security of your house.And I don't even cover the cheap electronic part, but that's also very low quality.
