Mini Pom-Pom Pets (Klutz): Make Your Own Fuzzy Friends

Great little book which gives clear instructions on how to make a particularly lovely set of pompom pets. It teaches the principals well so it's easy to divert from the book's designs to make your own ideas. The book comes with a range of materials - wool, glue, cardboard appendages (ears, noses etc), bead eyes and my favourite, a pink pen to add a bit of colour to the cheeks. Docking a star because there is very little wool included. If you're giving it as a gift, I'd suggest buying a couple of extra balls of wool. Otherwise it's a great introduction to pompom making for kids. One thing I would recommend is to buy a set of plastic pompom rings - they're much easier to use than a fork or cardboard circles.

Absolutely adorable craft set including everything you need (except for the fork) to make cute pompom characters. The 64 page book have clear instructions and lots of crafty ideas on how to create little habitats for pompom pets. Our favourite was placing pompom fish on the top of aquarium gravel in spare jar.I notice in other reviews that some parents struggled making the pompoms, we haven't experienced this... You really need to try hard not to be able to make a pompom, it is not that difficult. My 9 year old knew how to make fork pompoms long time before we even got this book.The set includes:- yarn in 8 colours (82 m / 90 yards)- 28 pre-made miniature pompoms to use for noses & chicks (in 2 sizes),- 40 bead eyes,- 15 bead noses,- 10 heart shaped sequin noses,- 8 pieces of wire,- blush marker,- measuring tape,- glue,- punch-out paper noses, ears, paws etc.

I love these Klutz sets and I've purchased lots of them. You get a book and everything else you need to make the cutest pom pom pets. Purchased for an 8 year old who thouroughly enjoyed making lots of little pets.

I really liked the product and was super easy to out together, until we got to the glue. It was toally dried out upon opening and so couldnt use it. It would be great if u could send a replacement glue or even tell us what kind of glue it is? Id happily give this 5* if we had a working glue.

Ideal for 7 - 12 year olds to learn a new skill. Some really good ideas.
