It's compost, and does the job. I've used this before and had good results.

EASY TO SPREAD COMPOST TO ADD TO THE SOIL.

This was my first time ordering this compost instead of my usual brand. It was delivered in a box so that the strong plastic bag holding the compost wouldn't be damaged.I was surprised at first by the colour, it is a very dark brown and so isn't as visually appealing as my usual brand, but getting my hand into the bag and feeling the compost, I was pleased with the consistency.I have used much of this repotting some plants, two in large planters. I now wait patiently to see the results.For the money, this is a good price for the quantity. The bag can't be resealed but folding down carefully and using sellotape should protect the compost until I need it again.

Quite easy to use and spread.

The John Innes addition makes a great difference to the quality of this compost. Lovely to use. I will be ordering more of the same.
