Install easy and work great

I recently hauled my utility trailer on a cross country trip and realized that I have to have ventilation back there. The heat inside the trailer was unbearable whenever we needed to access it. I purchased these vents to remedy the problem and they work great. Installation was very easy. Simply drill a 3 inch hole and then screw these into the desired location. I installed one in the front of the trailer, then one in the rear for the air to flow through.

These vents were an exact replacement for my original air vents, as seen in the picture. The screw holes lined up perfectly.

Put these on my Dolittle 6x10 trailer. I might add another pair up front. Possible issue with insects getting in through inside vent slots. Might be a good idea to put piece of screen in the opening. I did not do this and have already glued the inner ring to the wall. You need a hole saw to cut through the trailer siding. I also used aluminum rivets to secure to siding of trailer.

Make sure you have a 4 inch whole saw before starting this project. So far they seem to keep my enclosed trailer a little cooler but it is only spring time so I have not use them during the hot summer months yet. I have a top roof vent which does allow hot air to leave the trailer but I added four of these Vents and now they seem to actually bring in more cool air. I used long self tapping screws to go through the metal on the outside and reach all the way through the wood to pull them in tight and then I cut off the ends of the screw that came through the wood and that seems to have secured them very well and I used siliconeTo help seal them and help secure them.

First and foremost was the cost for the vents. They were affordable arrived 2 days ahead of schedule. That says alot to me about the vendor. Secondly easy installation. Had them changed over in less than 20 mins. Great item...

The tube portion ALMOST made it to the outside skin of my cargo trailer and it almost had the drains in the correct spot. Once I glued on an extension and cut in a drain on each vent cover was I able to install this.I installed it so the opening on the outside vent was facing down which if water ever managed to get inside the vent tube it would definitely go inside the trailer.These are not plug and play as I had to modify pretty much every part (the tube too short, outside vent drain non existent, opening in screen is large so flies and whatnot can get in and no screws).If you think this will work for you make sure you are truly a handy person and not just think you are.

Nice vents, if using on a single wall trailer it's best to cut out a 3/4" backing board to screw everything to. I made some that were tracings of the vent plus an inch and used them for drilling templates. You will still need to shorten the tube if you want good flow. 5/16 pan head stainless screws, some screen and a little silicone should be on your list as well when you get your materials together. 3" hole saw? You should already own one. I mounted a 12v computer fan to my upper vent hooked to a solar panel for some automatic trailer venting when stationary.
