Haven’t tried the dishwasher but I put it in the sink with hot soapy water for about 5 min (just when it’s really hard to clean aka seafood on the little holes under the tray ) and it gets clean super quick, no smells. I would be scared of putting it in the dishwasher because it’s nice and has a shiny coat that repels stuff of getting stuck or stains.
