Don't expect a book. This is more like a hard copy of an e-book. I found the overall tone and structure of the book to be equally relaxed. That is not to say that it does not have merit. At least as a broad introduction.Despite being a very short and easy read the text does include some solid real world advice. Very clear and simple ways of monetsing your blog and how to physically go about doing this.The author doesn't hold back from endorsing the platforms and methods that have worked really well for him and those that haven't worked as well. This experience alone is incredibly valuable and should save you the reader the time and hardship of making the same mistakes.If this is a topic that interests you, this book is a fair place to start. If you already have a well established blog it may well be all the help you need to start gaining a revenue stream from your blog. If however you are looking for a much stronger and more thorough text on the subject try 'Blogging your way to the front row' by Yuli Ziv - and don't be put off by it's title the advice in the book is just as applicable to non-fashion bloggers.

If you are a beginner blogger this is worth having. It is also important for reference purposes if you a blogger who is struggling with your blog.

At first I thought another book on blogging but was actually surprised as there were a few new tips I hadn't come across . The author writes with sincerity and says he tells it as it is - what really works and what doesn't. A very quick read though and he could have given just a bit more info and how to manage some steps.

As an initial guide to professionalising your blog without blinding you with science this is the ticket!! I would recommend it and like it's briefness...

Review: it's the gazillionth book I've read about blogging - it's the one that got me started.I have, or thought I had, no interest in personal finance, beyond living within my means. But I looked up the blog anyway, just so I'd have an exemplar to aim at. And it's fantastic, both in appearance and functionality, and in much of the content. It's even better than the book./Loved it.

This book is small but has all the information you need to start blogging on a solid foundation of knowledge. I particularly like the fact that it is small, and I was able to finish reading in just over an hour (slow reader). I would recommend this book to anyone who is seriously considering starting a blog. I chose the book because it popped up in my search and most importantly it is free to read on kindle. Thank you Mr.

This is not a bad book, but it says nothing new and there are some things I would add. It depends what you are looking - if you are a complete newbie to this subject you may well find this useful

I was hoping for a bit more info. This book is good for everyone who do not have any clue how blogs work. The best thing about it is a list of few net links that you might fund useful.

I have read a number of books in this genre and I will attest here and now, that NONE of them has packed so much practical, thoughtful and ready to use information into such a condensed and well written volume.This book features steps by step instructions that can help you to get started immediately but the author also shares (very candidly), some of the potential pitfalls that may lie ahead as well. Shares also, are his personal experiences, suggested courses of action, resources, search engine optimization, potential cost factors as well as why he partnered differently with certain organizations as his blog grew, than those that he started with. The most sobering element of this book, comes across in the author's attempt to get the reader to understand the realistic expectations that one must have when starting out as well as the wisdom to have the reader reflect on their own motivations for starting a blog.It's all here. If you are like me and probably thousands and thousands of others who want to start such a project but really aren't sure of how to do it and what is the first step(s). THIS book itself - is an EXCELLENT first step. In, and of itself, it could be one of the greatest investments in the process that you can make.Don't let this book's size or pricing fool you, it's all you need to be up and running in virtually no time.I can't recommend it enough.

I really didn't think I would learn anything new from this book, but the author's years of experience in blogging definitely come through with a lot of great advice. He explains some simple ways to boost traffic and SEO, and my favourite thing is that he is very honest about what success one can achieve through blogging. This book isn't "how to quickly make lots of money," it is how to realistically achieve financial success through consistency and work. This is a good read for anyone starting out.

I read this book passionately and honestly, I learn from this book much better than before. But I disappoint because writer only focuses on Google AdWords instead of other earning ways.I appreciate that Google is best for blogging, I expect from this book to little bit focus on the other part :).But I was happy to give you 5star because you share your knowledge with us and keep me start blogging.Thank you so much for your help :)

O livro se mostra um bom guia para quem deseja tratar blogs como algo a mais do que entretenimento, mas ele lista os pontos de maneria que pode não funcionar sozinho, exigindo que o leitor tenha que procurar outras referências para efetivamente entender o que está sendo exposto, principalmente aqueles que não tem noções de marketing digital.Leitura rápida, recomendo para quem deseja um norte sobre o assunto, mas o livro tem que ser encarado como o primeiro passo para um conteúdo bem maior.

This book is the very essence of providing a vast amount of knowledge in a clear conscience manner. Featuring hyperlinks to important media and reference points to do further research.The author Bob Lotich has well established credentials and cuts through all the red tape by providing information that many beginners, such as myself, are not aware of drawing from his own experience.

Wasn't very happy with this book. Most of the things written were those that I had found out though some research. The book it self is very nice for beginners however I would prefer it if the author would work on his writing skills and have more content in the book as I found some sections very repetitive.

I'm an absolute beginner and hoped for useful information about creating a blogging business. However, all the information the book provided are all open source and very easily obtained by just reading through some blogs.It was a ahort read. I finished it in about one hour.It appears the author just wanted to create another stream of income by publishing this book. Glad that amazon had it on sale for free, wouldn't approve spending a penny on it.

Wenn man sich erstmal generell über das Thema Bloggen informieren will, gibt das Buch eine gute Übersicht und erste Tipps. Wenn man sich aber auf den europäischen Markt konzentrieren will, sollte man bei der lokalen Literatur bleiben. Einige Tipps sind einfach zu US-spezifisch.

I have been thinking of starting a blog and have no clue about how to get started. This book has been very helful as gives out the very basics of starting a blog even for people who are not techies. The book is also written in a very simple language and is a good guide.

Excellent book with lots of practical information. Be aware that the author does clearly state that his success is not necessarily typical, but he does provide sufficient guidance based on his own experience to enable the reader to have a good attempt at making a bit of money from blogging.
