The original mountain bike bell. Trail awareness when you need it, silence when you don't. A simple on/off lever controls the internal clapper. Slide it down for on, or up for off. The motion of the bike activates the sound. Designed for safe, friendly passing and signaling on shared use trails. Mounts anywhere on your handlebars. Or, mount it right on the grip for instant shifting between ring and silent mode.

It works !
Horns are too noisy, bells don't ring loud enough, so having spotted this on Amazon, decided to give it a go. Used it down the local trailway today. It works a treat, merrily tinkling away. No more confused or irate looks...and folk did move to one side as they heard me happily tinkling along. It has a small lever that you can push to hold the hammer captive in order to silence it whenever you want. The handlebar fitting on this model is an elastic strap, which is too easy to undo, so I secured mine with a couple of cable ties, hopefully ensuring protection from criminals. Apparently they do another model with a more secure fixing. I am very happy with this purchase, even though a tad expensive ( In my opinion ), but it certainly works very well.

Brilliant
Without doubt the best bike accessory I've owned, it has changed my riding experience greatly. It gets other trail users attention right at the sweet spot (distance-wise) and therefore saves me having to slow down and/or change gear unnecessarily, much at all. Highly recommended though don't pay over the top for one, I paid £22.99 from Sprocket & Gear. Money very well spent, thanks.EDIT: If you have 31.8mm diameter bars you will likely be better off getting the bracket mounted version.

Cool gadget
I was recommended this by my fanatical cycle mate. It is a bit pricy but It’s really good. It is well made for a start and works a treat on all the settings. Great idea and when I’m using the mountain bike on the tracks it does it’s job

Not really for city use
Nice gentle ring no worries about reaching for the bell when flying down hill, able to lock out if you don't need it.Not really for city use as the traffic noise blocks out tbe ring

Excellent little gadget to warn others on trail.
These are great to warn others on the trail, and you can turn it off when not required, 2 x bands to fit different sizes bars, recommend highly.

It works well!
Needed a bell to warn walkers and other cyclists on the road and trails that i was approaching and from the first use it certainly does, but in a nice friendly way. Most walkers even give thanks for the heads up! Definately recommend.

Not recommended
Fitting slips and you need it stable to turn it on and off reliably. Not load enough for pedestrians to hear you coming. Started to turn itself on over the bumps.

Five Stars
Does the job very well and so far people have been smiling when they overheard me coming.
