Instant upgrade
Bought these little firm but flexible 'wine gums' in an attempt to reduce the vibration from my small (MS05i) speakers turning the cabinet they have to sit on into an involuntary speaker. Wasn't expecting much but they have made a noticeable difference. Lost mid-range and muddy base both improved, bringing greater clarity and feeling more 'controlled'. I can feel less vibration transferred to the cabinet (which houses the aging, mid-priced, but once noble hi-fi separates). Perhaps (hopefully) the majority of you will not have such a lousy set-up so I can't say you will notice a difference, but they work for me, certainly at <£14. The Vibropod isolators (at £44 for 8) can exit my Wish List untried. In case anyone reading does have a similar set-up: I have used these in addition to the Draper 30743 Vibration Absorber Mat (<£14) - cut to fit the base of the speakers with enough leftover for the CD player and more. That was my first attempt at reducing vibration. It brought some success, but not bringing the same level of sound improvement as the Audio Serenity pads. If it was a choice between the two I would therefore go for the Audio Serenity. That said, both together sound better than either one and still looks presentable. Put the Audio Serenity on top of the Draper foam with the nobbles upward to the speaker (nobbles into foam are no nobbles at all and it won't work). EDIT: I was keen to see whether further improvement could be inexpensively achieved using the 'Vibropod sandwich' method. Came across a pair of flat stone serving platters (as you do) in TK Maxx for £6. Not sure what stone they are (I believe granite is ideal) but they are hard, heavy, 10mm thick and just a bit bigger than the speaker footprints. Sandwiched between the draper mat and Audio serenity pads the isolation is near total, with a further improvement in sound quality. When the speakers are played at volume, the cabinet they sit on now vibrates less than other pieces of furniture in the room.

do not look like a quality product but don't be fooled
At first these isolation pads appear to be not a lot for a fair bit of cash. Came in two sealed poly bags (4 Per) inside another poly bag. Each pad has optional 3M adhesive tabs if you wanted to secure the pads to the underside of your speakers. Work perfectly well without being secured. Very much as described in the Amazon catalogue, but you will be surprised at how insignificant they are. But that is the point. Discreet is maybe a better description. Quality bookshelf speakers will benefit from the pads significantly reducing any vibrations emitted by the speakers to the shelf at volume. Not an essential purchase, but worth it to bring out the audiophile quality in my Denon mini HiFi when it is being driven.

Audio Serenity ISO-9H Gel Isolation Pads
Owing to lack of space I was recently forced to swap my large hi-fi speakers for smaller ones. Unfortunately the new speakers had to be accommodated on my computer desk. In use at a respectable volume they caused the desk to vibrate and bass notes were muddied. Someone suggested I try a set of isolation pads and I saw these advertised on Amazon. As the price was reasonable they seemed worth trying. The result was impressive: vibration all but vanished and bass improved. If anyone has no room for speaker stands and wall mounting is not possible I would definitely recommend buying a set of these pads before trying more expensive alternatives. And unlike a previous reviewer I didn't notice any stink of almonds.

A real audible improvement
I'm a perfectionist with audio. Imperfection irritates me. I really recommend these feet if you don't have very substantial ones on your bookshelf speakers already. I have DALI Zensor 3's with a Yamaha RN500. They came with cheaply made feet. With the replacement the low end has really leveled off in a very imperfect setup, and I'm less irritated. So take that as you like. It will never be perfect but these feet have made placement a lot less of an issue. Really easy to fit. I've peeled off the back and stuck them permanently. I would buy these first if you're not satisfied with your speakers. They may make all the difference for you. And they're cheap! Also if you're interested, upgrade from YouTube music to Tidal Hifi. That makes a big difference too, but that's another subject.

The sound
These things work realy well A big upgrade from Blue tack or foam sticky pads A must for audio quality. if you want total isolation for your speekers. I have very good stands and speekers Partington super dreadnaught. And proc studio 110 and I have always been happy with the sound. But I have now noticed how There is no colouration because of isolation between speeker and stand. These thing will improve the quality of any speekers if placed on them. Looks a bit expensive for just some small bits of silicon but I would recommend. As improvement is bigger than the price. By far

Not suitable for SkyQ
A strong warning about using these with Sky Q (in fairness, Sky Q is not what these are designed for, but I know from comments here & elsewhere that people have purchased these to reduce vibration on Sky Q receivers). I purchased these pads back in 2016 to reduce the vibration from my newly installed Sky Q box (they pretty much did the job and reduced the vibration). My Sky Q box developed a fault this week & Sky have been out to replace the receiver today. Prior to Sky coming out today, I attempted to lift the receiver off shelf in my TV cabinet to clean underneath the Sky Q box. I struggled to lift the Sky Q receiver, it seemed 'stuck' to the TV cabinet. Closer inspection identified that the isolation pads had melted & were of a gooey consistency. Had a nightmare getting the remains of the isolation pads off my TV cabinet & the bottom of the Sky Q box (the appearance of my TV cabinet is damaged, but fortunately the replacement Sky Q receiver covers up the damage). This likely explains the burning smell which I & members of my household had noticed over recent weeks, but which we could not locate. Would only recommend these for any item which does not generate any heat.
