This machine was bought for a bedroom - that is unfortunately near a golf course with an inappropriately loud lighting alarm, that can be heard through closed windows and apple earbuds with low volume tv streaming. (Seriously??? Yes.!) I opted for the battery version because- 1 less thing plugged in - and description says long battery life.All the sounds are great choices - and are clear and sound authentic. I over recognize patterns - and after 6 months of use - still don’t notice the end of the ‘loop’ in the sound - good work guys!!It’s small size is bonus.The timer works great!Possible volume range is impressive - and doesn’t distort at high end.Battery size is NOT what is advertised - 24 hour continuous use at low to low mid volume will get 3-5 days on the 3 AA batteries.Baby likes to carry it around.I recommend the ‘Summer night’ at night- and ‘Rain Forest’ during the day.**** WARNING - WHEN TURNING ON AND BATTERY IS LOW/ ABOUT TO DIE - IT WILL TURN ON FULL BLAST VOLUME AT THE OCEAN SOUND. **** so, don’t turn ion in a room with a sleeping baby or anyone else !! :)I returned to this page to leave this review - and find the makers name to buy their plug in version to upgrade.

I purchased this white noise machine after my son spent the night at his Gramma’s and found hers to be helpful with falling asleep. She shared this brand with me and that she had purchased it from Amazon. I didn’t hesitate in buying it because the price was certainly right. My son has trouble falling asleep at night and he reports that this helps him seal the deal faster. He sets the machine’s timer for 60 minutes each night and finds the ocean sound to be most soothing. The machine is smaller than I expected; it fits in the palm of my hand. I only left one star off my rating because I wish it had an a/c adapter so it could be plugged in as well as using batteries. Otherwise, it’s super effective and a great buy for the money!

I cannot sleep without some form of white noise. I invested in a Dohm natural fan-driven white noise machine, and it's beautiful. But it's not very good for travel, and it's a bit of a one trick pony.I recently moved from a single studio to a larger space with a friend, and subsequently from an environment with a perpetual source of white noise to large bouts of dead silence. I couldn't handle it for more than a day, so I figured I'd order an inexpensive battery-operated noise machine to take around. Found this little rectangle of joy and it's pretty amazing. I'm still blown away by the sound quality, which, based on the size (it's a lot smaller than I expected) and the fact that it's electric, pre-recorded sounds (not to mention inexpensive), I expected to be tinny and just okay enough to do the job.I love this little gadget. It runs forever (get some rechargeable AA batteries and you're set), it's got a decent selection of sounds (not all appeal to me, but that's subjective), and the timer function is handy as heck.Definitely chose the right sound machine, and I sometimes even use it in place of my Dohm.Advice: the Waterfall sound effect mimics the Dohm whereas the White Noise sound effect mimics TV static.

I bought this for my dog to drown out fireworks and storms, but he just tries to run off with it and. He’s it up—maybe he’s not a nature sounds type dog? But we humans like it. This is a great little sound machine. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because of the green light on the back. My room is super dark and the green light seems like a beacon in the night (which could just be because of the darkness of my room). It doesn’t go off while the machine’s on, so I just block the light with my phone and all is good.The machine is smaller than I thought, but it just means It doesn’t take up much room. The sound has a good range from soft to loud. I definitely recommend that you listen to the video they provide on Amazon so you know will know if you like the sounds before you buy.I would definitely buy this again (and may get it for my guest room).

This little guy is a life SAVER!! I just have birth to beautiful baby girl, but at any point in time she was in a room that was quiet she would be wide awake and active. I got absolutely no sleep at night or during the day if I wanted to take a nap. So after reading many many blogs and chatting with other Moms, it was suggested to me that I should buy a noise machine. Knowing that we would be traveling soon to visit family I needed something that would be easy for me stow away in my bags, and THIS WAS IT!!! I love that this is battery powered (3 AA Batteries), and is loud enough to cover the voices of my noisey neighbors and dogs in our duplex neighborhood. The volume range can also allow me to have the machine low enough so that it wouldn't disturb our roommate or my mother when she was visiting. After a week of using this, my daughter now sleeps soundly at night (for 3 week old baby) and it also helps my boyfriend and I sleep a little easier. This is something that I recommend to new mother's and those that just the background noise to not only relax but get a restful night of sleep.

OBSESSED! I am a 31 year old, with no children, who loves naps and a good nights sleep with a snoring husband. This tiny machine is a GAME CHANGER! I can set it on my lunch break for 30 min and tune out all the noises around and fall instantly asleep its like a mental meditation the sound just takes everything away and relaxes you. Yes, I do have relaxing apps on my phone, but i dont want to have the sound blasting on my phone so i would have to turn it down when using the app, which means i can't hear my cell alarm to wake me. So having something separate from my phone works perfect for me. Its battery operated too which is a bonus! I can also stick it by my pillow when my husband snores to drown him out lol I was so impressed I bought 2 and want to buy more for gifts! Im hooked.
