i bought these for the front 2 speakers for a 7,1 home cinema set up!the quality of them is amazing!!i wasn't sure given the fact that they are only £50 a pair - but worth every penny!!amazing value for money!!

UPDATE TWO YEARS AFTER PURCHASE: STILL EXCELLENT SOUND AND WELL PLEASED WITH PRODUCT AND I'VE JUST BOUGHT ANOTHER SET. I bought this pair of 2 way passive speakers when another manufacturer's inferior ones inside leads became severed from the speakers they were supposed to have been connected to. These have external colour coded for positive (red) and negative Earth (black) connectors which you press down to insert speaker wire. The photo provided on Amazon's site gives the impression that you need to SCREW these connectors onto the inserted wire as most high end speaker systems do BUT NOT THESE and I think this set-up is a considerably better. way of connecting speaker cableEach unit is 24 cm high by 17 cm wide (8¾" x 6¾"). There are two screw holes at the rear of each unit. I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what these screw holes can be used for since both units come with external wall mounts which are connected to each unit's top and bottom by supplied plastic screws. No other screws or wall plugs for mounting these supports to the wall are provided I have chosen to not use these supports but this is only because I will use existing shelves to rest each on.Again, the photo provided by Amazon suggests there is a cloth covering the front of each unit. This is not the case. There is a wired grille through which the two speakers inside each unit can be quite easily recognised. I prefer this as it lends to a more professional look.Unfortunately, I am not a lover of base so I can't state whether these offer a bass sound that the majority of music lovers demand. I'm sure they probably would but they DO offer exceptional midrange and treble sounds and if, like me, that is what you crave, I think you would be well advised to purchase these speakers. Not only do I not like bass but I also prefer quite sounds. There's too much noise outside in the street for me to add to this in my home so whether it's because my Yamaha surround separates provides better sound or not, these speakers live up to my expectation for my chosen listening quality.As with all Amazon orders this one arrived three days before it was expected and I've removed one star because of this. In my book delivering an item before it is scheduled to be delivered is just as bad as delivering it after it's scheduled delivery dates but I do appreciate this view of mine is NOT shared by the majority of Amazon purchasers.I am pleased with this product BUT as I have only received it a couple of days ago, I can't attest to its durability. If it does not last the passage of time (seven years which the UK government in their Sale of Goods Act 1971 state all new goods must), I will (as I always do) update this review to include that fact.

For the money these speakers which I have fixed high in my kitchen are ok . They don’t appear to have much depth bass wise to me but they’re only background music so they work . Easily fixed with good mounts and look good . They’re not a Bose sound but hey they’re cheap and do the job .

Very impressed with the sound but be aware they are fairly big for surrounds, Update: can't believe how good these speakers are, they have totally transformed the sound on my home cinema setup, Im going to use another two pairs of these in my cinema room with a 7.2 setup.

These are good quality for rear surround. The wall brackets are well designed and offer enough adjustment to suit most installations.I had an issue where one speaker was shipped without a bracket and the seller rectified this immediately and very professionally.

They sound great, no distortion from a cheap Chinese 100w mini amp, was highly recommended on Amazon. They sound clear, not so much bass as expected for this price. If you are a fussy audio expert, then look at more expensive renowned famous makes of course.

I was looking for a pair of wall mounted speakers for my home office. These are the perfect size for my space, they sound good for the price, were easy to fit to the wall and connect to the mini amplifier bought. I can run them from the headphone socket in my PC and from my MP3 player.
