So far I use the clippers and then use this after. Has helped a lot with the sharpness and less scratches on baby's face.

Hate clipping baby's nails with traditional nail clippers. I always get so nervous that I'll cut baby's skin. Which did end up happening. Whoever thought using a sharp object on a squirmy baby like that was okay should go jump in a lake.With this amazing godsend of a tool, i never have to worry about hurting my baby's fingers again! All you do is choose a buffer based on appropriate age (0-3m and so on) and just gently run them on the end of your baby's nails. In just two minutes, my baby's nails were all gently filed down to a normal length and no tears were had. It was actually kinda fun to use!The machine is quiet when on so baby isnt bothered by the noise. No idea which attachment does what. The rest if the reviews and questions do not address how to actually use the product for baby or mom. Also, the product instructions don't have the details either. Spelling and grammar errors in the instructions and box don't help either. Go for another product with real reviews of how it's used.

Cutting my newborn’s nail or trying to file it down with a nail filer has been an unwelcome challenge. He just won’t stay still long enough to shorten his nails not to mention trying not hurt him in the process. I tried this trimmer the minute it arrived and it gets the job done. It seamlessly trims down his nails without hurting him. And I don’t know what it is about the trimmer, but he actually stays still making it even easier. This product is definitely something I recommend.

Easy and safe to trim new born baby's nails. However, takes more time than manul nail clipper and file.

This works awesome! I just tried it on my 5 month old and it worked so much better than trying to clip his nails. I always fear I am going to snip his finger rather than the nail. I wish I had this for when he was a newborn because their nails are so soft. I also tried it on my own nails and worked great. Remember to apply very light and gentle pressure. It also came with a very sturdy carrying case.

It is not strong enough for toe nails ..on adults. I imagine , it would be fine for babies.I am a diabetic & thought I needed something gentle.
