I had only seen these used on TV and doubted whether it would be worth the money. I was looking for something that would keep me from having to leave my iron on constantly when I'm piecing quilts and pressing seams. I really couldn't understand how a simple roller with no heat would be able to press a seam open with much success. I was pleasantly surprised. It does better when you open the seams. It's not as effective when you press both seams to one side. The wooden construction makes for a pleasant appearance which I prefer over plastic and metal.

It works for me! Flat seams are essential in quilting.

Looks handmade by a wood worker. Rolls smoothly over seams. Wider than expected for quilting seams.

I am very impressed by the quality of this seam roller! The wood is excellent quality, very nicely finished, and a good size. I didn't think I ever really needed this sewing notion, but it helps flatten seams very well and saves undue pressure on my aging hands by "finger pressing" seams.

Been wanting a roller for leather work for a while now, just never got one. Then I saw this and had to try it. Perfect size for pressing glued edges, and super easy to use. Love how it feels in the hand and very happy with this purchase. Great price for a very nice quality, good looking tool.
