Awesome gazebo but instructions are not 100% accurate. Important info noted in my comments.
This is an awesome gazebo! It is very sturdy & looks great. It was a little difficult to put together in the beginning only because 4 of the parts labeled on page # 4 of the instruction manual were incorrect. I was searching for the B10, B11, B12, B13 pieces for a long time until I realized they were mismarked on the part section of the manual. The parts were actually E10, E11,E12, & E13 as shownon the diagram. The instruction manual is pretty well done because it has a list of labeled parts on the left side of each page & detailed diagrams on the right side of the page. Each piece is labeled with a sticker coordinating with the instruction manual (other than the 4 pieces I mentioned above). One other tricky step is installing the curtain hooks on page 6 & towards the end of the manual. The instructions don't really indicate that you must equally divide the specified amount of hooks on each the left & right side of the walls & there are 2 rows. So do this very carefully or you will have to take pieces apart many steps later or may not even realize it until you are at the very end. I suggest laying out all the pieces in alphabetical order (there are a lot) & inventory the items to make sure you have everything before you start. This also helps familiarize yourself with the pieces. I put 99% of the gazebo together myself & only needed help once lifting the center roof support section. I am a 5'10 female with some building experience. I wanted to surprise my husband while he was out of town for a week and wanted to do it solo. It took a total of about 14 hours for me to put it together spread over 3 days. You will want a dolly to move the 5 large boxes (well over 100 lbs each) & make sure you have a lot of room to lay out the parts. *** The instructions & screws are in a tan bag that looks like it would be the curtains ***. I couldn't find the instructions (thinking it was a bag of curtains), so I contacted the manufacturer who sent me a PDF of the instructions. This ended up being super helpful because the paper instruction manual I eventually found in the bag, were very light & a little hard to read at times. Having a PDF was helpful for zooming in on details. You will also want a medium & tall ladder. The last few steps require reaching over the first tier of the roof to the 2nd, which is surprisingly high. I also ended up removing some of the vents previously installed so I could reach the upper level more easily. The vents could be put on last. Make sure you put the curtains (outside track) & the screens (inside tack) on the correct track or you will have to tack them down & redo them. I would NOT use an electric drill as you could easily strip the screw heads or cross-thread the screws. I would also suggest that if 2 people are doing this, each person have a copy of the instructions, one person mainly run pieces/parts to the other to install. It worked out that my husband was out of town because I am sure we would have gotten into multiple arguments during this project... Just take your time & follow instructions very carefully. Extra screws/washers were included were included, which was very helpful because I dropped a lot. A magnet bowl came in very handy. The materials are very nice & it was pretty easy to do. Overall, a great gazebo & we really love it!!! I just wanted to share these tips which would have really helped me. Highly recommend!

Great Quality and Looks Amazing!
Bought this as a replacement for another pergola that simply got worn out. Definitely plan to spend about 6-8 hours building with 2 people. The instructions were usually understandable even if the ink was faint on some pages. Only a few items here or there where it was a bit tricky to figure out the correct orientation of pieces. Came in 3 very large and heavy wood crates with everything very well packed and secured. No issues with shipping or bent or broken pieces but some of the screws didn’t thread properly so used extras provided. The roof sections were certainly the most challenging with overlapping them correctly and getting the last bolts in near the top center. Be prepared to have someone on a 9 ft ladder reaching out while the other person holds the ladder in place. Teamwork! Overall this was the best bang for my buck by far and super excited to have a new hang out place for guests. I added bistro lights around and a little lantern up at the top center. I did not add the cloth sides so can’t comment there. I’m hoping this lasts a solid 5 years and seems like it should based on the quality of the materials. No issues with leaks so far with summer rains and seems like it’ll do very well with winter and snow as well. Roof seems very well overlapped and bolted down so not too concerned with wind or hail either. Definitely recommend as long as you are up for putting it together!

Take your time
I picked this gazebo because it was a reasonable price, and it looked well made. I had gotten text to do a review but couldn’t until now. Well now that it is together it is a good quality gazebo. There are pros/ cons to this review. One of the cons is; the instructions are not conducive to the product. Meaning people need words to put together a product such as this gazebo. There are many different parts to it, and many times my brother had to constantly rearrange things to make them work; some parts weren’t as they should’ve been we had to buy part to put it together. Pros, it is a good sturdy gazebo as of today I can tell 7/1/2025. Hoping that it keeps a 4 star review. FYI: Look at the video that they give it does help. You just have keep going back and forth because it runs through how to put it together fast.

I am highly impressed
I had some doubts about spending this kind of money for a complex, heavy, multi package item like this. I received it in a couple of days. Teh tracking info, said one box, but all 5 arrived, in perfect condition. The packing was highly detailed, not one item was dented, scratched or bent. Heavy boxes, inner wooden frames, steal brackets to support the wood more foam, wrapper, plastic bags and packing tape then you have ever seen. Everything was well cared for. Now... assembly. Like other review state, the instructions where a little dicey. Ikea style directions, no verbiage. The part numbers are very important, to get things together correctly. The instructions were very, very, very faint. but I was able to figure out every step. I was able to do the entire assembly alone except for one step. My wife helped hold up the long side beam and center leg as I bolted it to the end assembly. She needed to hold about two bounds or force. I was able to device a procedure for every other assembly step and be able to do it alone. It took me 2 full days working alone. I assume with a team you could get it done faster. I am very happy with the final product. It is strong, attractive, and quite functional. After losing two other gazebos due to high mountain wind, I used 20 lag bolts, and concrete sinkers to make sure it is not going anywhere. I would not use the cheesy ones that came with the kit. The most useful trick i learned was this: when installing the main roof, do not follow the directions. Do what they say, but start at a corner, and add panels as you circle around the gazebo. When you get to the next corner, add the next three panels, bolt up the corner, then add and bolt down the cap piece. If you try to add the corner cap pieces after assembling the roof you will not be able to reach the last bolt up top.

Good quality, Very nice looking and good company to purchase from
This "Pergola" is very well made. Upon receiving item and un boxing and organizing many many parts assembly began base of item constructed the "feet " on the legs are designed to be able to bolt into concrete blocks to be put into the ground. Upon assembly for the roof it was discovered one very important piece was missing. Assembly stopped, phoncall to company made in less than 24 hrs the company got in touch clarified product part number verified representative stated part would be sent and would receive it in 5-7 days. Item was received in that window of time. We are very happy to say that the company did a great job at remedying this problem... No we couldnt have it constructed in the time frame we wanted but what truly matters is that product was obtained and sent as promised... and for that we are grateful that this company cared to make it right and complete Thankyou again Joey!!!!!

Very sturdy framework, easy to assemble.
This gazebo comes in 3 cartons that were dropped on our front porch without notice.. :(. But we moved them around back and proceeded with assembly. The instructions are pictoral - very little written instruction - which is fine. It does take a few minutes of study to figure out some of the steps but overall the assembly is pretty easy. I did it by myself in about 7 hours except for putting up the roofing panels- i needed help to hold nuts while screwing in the bolts on top of the panels. Hint- there are rubber bumpers that go in the groove on the roof panels - they are designed to help create a water seal as well as being able to cinch down the panels without denting the metal. They are nearly impossible to get in place and get the bolts through them and then get a nut on. I used some two sided tape to hold them in place while the panels are moved into position.... then punch the bolt through the tape and put on the nuts. It works but it took me a while to figure that one out. Also- there is a design flaw. Because of the build of the curtains and insect screen you can either have all screens closed or all open- without some modification you cannot have just some of the curtains closed and have the open ones secured to the corner post. You can have some open and some closed if you are ok wih them not being strapped to the post. This could be easiliy solved during manufacture by having a slit for the post strap to go through or incorporating strapping for each panel instead of strapping for two sides... just a thought. Overall, we are quite pleased with the condition of the gazebo and hope that it lasts many years. Customer service was outstanding. While we were still installing the gazebo we noticed a price change on Amazon. I contacted Yitahome and without question they refunded the difference to us. I thought that would never happen but it was easy. Thanks Yitahome.

Sturdy roof panels, but flmsy posts, curtains not UV proof
Pros: Large structure 12'x20' with screening on top vented area and screened/curtain sides. Some of the other gazebos in similar price ranges didn't seem to include the screen material at the top vent area, or didn't have the mesh curtains to help with the bugs. Small hail didn't dent the roof metal. The sheet metal seems like a nice thick gauge metal. Cons: Assembly was challenging and took a team of 4 people to assembly most of the day. - Instructions were fairly good, but the clips for the roof panels were a bit tricky and fell out of place as the panels were being installed. Manufacturing tolerance/QC isn't great. The crossbeam for the center poles one had a threaded insert installed in the wrong location and I remedied by slitting the bracket and repainting to accommodate the centimeter off hole location (see picture). Some of the threaded inserts in the roof bracing were also "spinning" and we had to use pliers to keep them from spinning to finish assembling. The curtains are not UV resilient. They started to noticeably fade within a few weeks (see picture). Unfortunately now they look horrible and they are "out of stock" and weren't able to replace the curtains when contacting the manufacturer/seller so I wouldn't expect. While the mesh/screen curtains are awesome, if there is a slight breeze they tend to flow with the wind too well and then the bottoms get exposed so it may let bugs in. Just something to consider if you are counting on a mostly bug free experience. No "gutters" so water drips off of the roof every 5 inches. The roof panels get really hot in the sun so during assembly be careful as we laid them on the grass to organize them and in the half hour the panels were in the sun they were scalding hot and temporarily damaged the grass they laid on due to heat stress. The pillars are fairly lightweight but the attachment point to the feet is 3 small screws that are really close to the edge of the aluminum posts. The pillars feel too thin and the whole gazebo sways with the wind. Speaking of which, the "wind-proof" claims on the product details are far from the truth. Tips: Also as another review mentioned it was helpful to tape the plastic spacers for the bolts before sliding the roof panels in place. I used electrical tape, but some good double sided tape may do as well. Make sure to have 4+ people for assembly. If you are moving the gazebo it has 6 legs which the middle legs don’t have much lateral support and feel like they are going to bend easily until it all gets anchored down.

YITAHOME 12X16FT HARDTOP GAZEBO: A MIXED BAG OF LUXURY AND LIMBO
In my quest to elevate my backyard into a serene retreat, I decided to invest in the YITAHOME 12x16ft Hardtop Gazebo, enticed by its promise of durability, elegance, and protection from the elements. The gazebo, with its nettings and curtains and a heavy-duty double roof galvanized structure, seemed like the perfect blend of functionality and style. Now, several months into its use, I find myself in a position to share a balanced view of its offerings. **FEATURES THAT STAND OUT:** - **Durability:** The heavy-duty double roof made of galvanized steel is indeed a testament to the gazebo's robustness. It stands unyielding against the weather's mood swings, offering a dependable shield against sun and rain. - **Size:** The spacious 12x16ft footprint provides ample space, easily accommodating furniture sets for outdoor dining or lounging, making it the heart of backyard gatherings. - **Aesthetics:** There's no denying the gazebo adds a touch of sophistication to the outdoor space. Its design is pleasing to the eye, promising to blend seamlessly with a variety of outdoor décor themes. **AREAS WHERE REALITY FALLS SHORT:** - **Assembly:** The assembly process is not for the faint of heart. Despite being a seasoned DIY enthusiast, I found the instructions somewhat lacking, turning what should have been a straightforward setup into a test of patience and ingenuity. - **Nettings and Curtains:** While these additions are marketed as premium features for added privacy and protection against bugs, they feel a bit flimsy. The material could be more resilient, especially considering the overall investment. - **Value for Money:** Here lies the crux of the matter. The gazebo is undoubtedly a significant investment. When weighing the pros like durability and aesthetics against the cons such as the cumbersome assembly and the less-than-stellar quality of nettings and curtains, one must ponder if the price justifies the experience. **PERFORMANCE OVER TIME:** The gazebo has held up admirably against environmental challenges, maintaining its structure and appearance without signs of rust or wear. However, the usability aspect, marred slightly by the curtains and nettings' quality, detracts from the overall satisfaction. It performs its primary function of providing shelter and aesthetic appeal but leaves room for improvement in the finer details. **CONCLUSION: A BEAUTIFUL, YET IMPERFECT ADDITION:** The YITAHOME 12x16ft Hardtop Gazebo walks a fine line between being a backyard oasis and a source of occasional frustration. It stands as a testament to what potential buyers should consider: are you willing to navigate the hurdles of assembly and accept the lesser quality of some accessories for the sake of the larger benefits? For those with patience and a bigger budget, this gazebo could still be a worthy contender. However, for others, it serves as a reminder that perfection in the realm of outdoor luxury is often a blend of compromise and satisfaction.
