Pretty much faultless
This is a brilliant Clock/Radio, small and compact, easy to use, fabulous features for the price and the display has a brightness setting which suits all environments: even in pitch black, the dimmest setting doesn't intrude on the sleeping eyes. I especially like the fact you can set a maximum volume on the alarm and it gradually increases to this volume so you're not waken with a startle.I don't understand some of the negative comments about this product:1. Sound is fantastic especially considering it's coming from one small little speaker2. A thin wire aerial is ideal as you can hide it in a suitable location or place it in the best place for best signal quality a lot easier then a telescopic antenna3. There is nothing wrong with the display and doesn't blind you at night at it's dimmest setting4. My technically illiterate wife navigated to her chosen radio station, set 2 alarms for weekends and weekdays and played music from her phone via Bluetooth without even glancing at the instruction manual. QED: it's easy to use.

Very good with useful features
Easy to use DAB and Bluetooth. Like the way the sound builds up on the alarm and the ability to set alarm for a date, station and volume. The only reason its not 5 stars is the time display can be dimmed but is very bright at night if it is to be bright enough to read during the day.

Excellent little radio
I did quite a bit of research on radios and found this to be a good all round radio, excellent as my iphone connects via the Bluetooth with good range, good speaker sound, nice looking radio, can dim the light so it's not mega bright when trying to fall asleep, sleep function good and the choice of 2 wake up alarms which can be set with different radio stations etc is ideal for me and my partner. The only downside I would say is the buttons on the top are hard to see in the dark if maybe glow in the dark text would of helped. But can live with that

poor quality
For the money this is a poor quality item. If this was £30 then I would consider this reasonable value. It does have a nice design as can be seen from the picture. But it has a very plastic feel to it and is very light and does not feel solid enough. The sound quality is ok - but not great - and obviously this is the most important point. The volume buttons on top are annoying and should be a turning wheel knob. The aerial is a very thin wire that hangs behind the radio. For this money (around £70) buy a Pure radio. I have two Pure radios - one £50 and one £100 and both are far better made than this Roberts one. I have sent it back.

had to return - the blue lights are extremely bright, and so I couldn't keep this on the bedside table. The dial is also pretty difficult to read as it only has space for a few characters. the characters are also really small, so if you wear glasses, like me, it is impossible to read the time in the middle of the night with glasses off!radio and sound quality as you would expect for a small speaker like this - pretty decent but ultimately a bit tiny.

Classy device...but it then broke.
Purchased principally as an alarm clock, which makes it an expensive item. But, it has some very nice touches, such as when the radio starts in alarm mode, the volume gradually increases to the required volume. The alarm allows you to set the channel and the optimum volume. The option for weekdays only is brilliant (but then I've previously been using my 35 year old Ferguson via a plug timer so I'm coming to this new technology from a low base...).The display is dimmable and the sound reasonable. Channels located automatically, as was the time - no signal issues, and we don't live in a city. All in all, a well-constructed package, well thought through and, above all, it does everything it said it would and does it all well!Update: Two further weeks in and the thing suddenly stopped working. So, a replacement is in the way. It was so good when it worked, I'm prepared to give this the benefit of the doubt, but if the next one messes up, this review will be down to one star. If my old radio lasted 35 years, this one didn't manage three weeks...Disappointed....

A reasonable performer.
This radio comes in uninspiring black but fortunately the sound quality does better than uninspiring no doubt in part because of the forward facing speaker. The user interface is quirky with a combination of tuning control knob and press buttons. The on/off button has a circular depression which is very helpful when fiddling about in the dark. The other buttons should have been given something tactile but unfortunately they haven't. One irritation is that while the display brightness can be adjusted separately for radio 'on' and radio 'off', the 'on' setting isn't retained. Overall a reasonable performer.

Excellent product
Bought this as a bedside alarm clock.I picked this over a traditional clock radio as I was fed up with the poor sound that they normally produce. The sound quality is excellent for what is quite a small radio. There are two alarms where you can also select radio station, maximum volume of the alarm plus whether you want it to just sound during the week or to include weekends as well. The radio also has bluetooth which is great as you can play music from your phone / ipad.I don't know why roberts don't advertise this as a clock radio as it is far better than most other products out there.
