Papo39387 Blue dragon king MEDIEVAL-FANTASY Figurine, Multicolour

This was bought for my four year old for his birthday and he is extremely taken with it. He loves monsters and knights in fancy armour. The fact that this one comes with a lance is a plus point because he can sit the knight on horseback and attack his other figures with it in a satisfactory way. It doesn't come with a horse of its own but will sit on a basic horse figure fine. However if you remove the lance it doesn't stand up very well on its own. I am a little concerned that the hand holding the lance may not survive too long - there is a bit too much 'play' in it and it may well break off (but admittedly my son does play with it in a fairly boisterous fashion.) This is a lovely looking toy but not, in my opinion, one of the sturdier figures from the Papo range.

Nicely decorated horse, I bought it to go with one of the knights. It feels really sturdy and looks brilliant.

This is a very well designed figure, no problem standing it on a smooth, level surface and once placed it is very stable.Unlike a lot of PAPO figures, this has been sculpted full of movement and life.As another reviewer writes, the axe is moulded separately. It is a tight fit but can easily be twisted and moved through the hands. I haven't tried removing it.Painting is OK although the facial features are not so distinctive as on the web page photo.The figure I received is a mirror image of the one shown, i.e. sword is worn on left hand hip and axe is being swung from right to left.I'm really pleased I bought it.I recommend it as a birthday gift or stocking filler for a boy of any age ;).

The catapult is strong and looks to be very durable it also works fine but this one appears to be wonky and slightly miss shaped - not what I usually expect from Papo.Would have returned for a replacement if I’d noticed before Christmas but my sons playing with it.

Absolutely love it! Great play value for all ages. Robust enough to withstand vigorous play. Superb way of engaging imaginations or getting children interested in history, chivalry or horses. Will appeal to both boys and girls.It gas a companion knight that can be bought separately. Said knight is bow legged to sit on the horse but can also be used as a free standing figure and will stand unaided.There are quite a few variations in the series so the product has both depth (replay-ability value) and length (extendability as a set). Female figures are also available.

Very good quality. The models have excellent attention to detail and seem as if they will last a long time.

Its a lot bigger than i thought it would be! Beautifully painted and sturdy. My son is going to love recieving this for his birthday!
