They are great quality for the price
So happy with This purchase! These dishes are beautiful and high quality. They make the perfect addition to my kitchen and they feel much more expensive than they are.

Great set of plates
I love these dishes, especially the combination of different types. There are two bowls one I would say is a cereal bowl and the other is a soup bowl but the soup bowl could also lend itself as a pasta bowl and it comes in very handy. It’s very classic in the white and I just love using them when I entertain. I just had one sad experience the first time I had a dinner party one of the plates chipped, but that’s to be expected when you’re doing a lot of dinner parties.

Excellent customer service. Nice style vertical wall dishes that don't spill everything everywhere.
We really like this set for its vertical walls. Laura is not a klutz, Adam is.Our last sets were melamine and some sort of plastic. Neither did well in the microwave. The plastic bowls were too small and the melamine bowls were such that soups easily sloshed over the sides. As well, melamine gets hot.Prior to that, we had modern Corelle. The stuff shattered and left shards everywhere. I was always dropping them. My stuff dumped off the plates or sloshed out of the bowls. These came well packed. Laura ordered two sets I believe. One larger bowl did have a 1 inch crack, almost like a manufacturing defect but hard to say for sure. We contacted the seller immediately and the issue was resolved immediately. Excellent customer service. These are heavier than what we had though I dont know how they compare to comparables. I'm contemplating dropping the defective bowl to see how it reacts. It's important to know what the future has in store for our dishes. I have not told Laura...yet.Stay tuned.

Stylish and Sturdy Dinnerware Set for Everyday Elegance
I recently purchased two Gibson Home Oslo Porcelain Chip and Scratch Resistant Dinnerware Sets, Service for 4, and I absolutely love them. This set seamlessly blends modern design with durability, making it a perfect addition to any dining table. The clean lines and minimalist aesthetic add a touch of sophistication to every meal. Whether it's a casual brunch or a formal dinner party, this dinnerware set elevates the dining experience.Durability is another standout feature of this set. The porcelain construction not only makes the dishes resistant to chips and scratches but also gives them a reassuring heaviness that feels substantial and high-quality. Despite a minor chip on one of the dinner plates upon arrival, it was in a spot that wasn't overly noticeable, and it certainly didn't detract from the overall appeal of the set. I didn't find it necessary to contact customer service, as it was a minor issue. They are incredibly easy to clean, and being microwave and dishwasher safe adds to their convenience. In conclusion, the Gibson Home Oslo Porcelain Chip and Scratch Resistant Dinnerware Set exceeded my expectations in terms of both style and functionality. If you're looking for a versatile and durable dinnerware set that adds a touch of modern elegance to your table, look no further. Highly recommended!

It’s just OK (detailed review)
I bought two sets of these dishes to replace my 10-year-old everyday stoneware. I’ve only been using them for about a week so I can’t speak to durability, but they seem heavy, solid, and probably able to withstand daily use pretty well.Pros:1. Well packaged, all 32 pieces arrived intact without chip or blemish.2. High-gloss finish (although this could be a negative for some, I wasn’t expecting it and would have preferred a more matte finish but in re-reading the description, it says glossy—and it really is so I guess it’s accurately described)3. Love the dinner/pasta bowl and that is the main reason I chose this set—rare to find a reasonably priced set that includes both pasta and cereal bowls. It’s very plain bowl, as you would expect, but it’s well sized and very functional. Feels good in the hands and looks nice on the table.4. It’s a very heavy set. Again this could be a negative (it was for me, I was expecting a more porcelain-type feel and weight), but if you’re used to stoneware or ceramic and like that heft, you’ll love this set.Cons:1. Lots of minor imperfections and irregularities in individual pieces. If they were hand glazed or hand finished or whatever, that would be fine, but it speaks to a lack of quality control in manufacturing and makes them look and feel cheap. Which, let’s be honest, they kind of are for the number of pieces you get, so I guess you get what you pay for. But if you’re looking for a set that can do double duty on the kitchen table and the dining table, this isn’t it. I would not use these for anything but casual dining, just too clunky and cheap-looking. It also makes me worry about longevity and durability.2. The Gibson stamp and writing on the underside of the plates smears and begins to disappear after just a few turns through the dishwasher. Probably not a big deal since most people won’t inspect the bottom of their plates but again, it indicates a cheapness that I find unexpected and off-putting. I didn’t expect Mikasa or Lenox quality at this price, but I did expect something nicer than you could buy by the piece at ikea or Walmart. This feels very much like the latter so I feel like it’s misrepresented as to what you’re actually getting. And because of that, I don’t think the price is all that great. You can get similar plates at Walmart for about $2 each for dinner and appetizer plates and the quality is about the same. So these feel overpriced for the quality of the set. If the pasta bowls weren’t included, I would have given this set 1-2 stars but that addition brings the value up a bit just because they are so hard to find at a good price because they’re so trendy right now.3. The white is more of a grayish white—which again might be fine if that’s what you’re looking for. I was hoping for a true white, my tableware and linens are in warm tones. The grayish cast is very noticeable in sunlight and normal kitchen lighting.Bottom line:This set is budget priced but presents as cheap—I feel like it’s a step below what you would expect at this price point. It’s probably fine for casual dining, you get a very nice variety of pieces to suit most needs. But it would look very out of place alongside your nice serving pieces on the dining table. In retrospect, I would not buy again but repacking and returning is too much work. Not really happy with this purchase but might be equal parts my fault for expecting an actual bargain and the manufacturer’s for representing this as something more than cheap ceramic dinnerware.
