No "dead spots"
The mouse works well over the entire pad. Looks like strong stitching that will last. grips well on a glass and wood surface. Haven't spilled anything on it yet so can't comment on absorbency or how cleanable it would be.

Stays put
Stays nicely put and hugs the desk. Mouse slides easily and the pad is large enough so your mouse does not slide off the side. Works nice and I like it.

It is a mouse pad.
Do you have mice that will not move the way you want because the surface of the desk is rough, or so smooth there is nothing it can see to register against? Then do I have a solution for you. Back, after 40 years of required use, the mouse pad has returned. You place this device between the desk surface and the mouse. If it doesn't work, turn the mouse over. If it is hard to move the mouse, flip the pad over. You get four pads in this package, fun for the whole family.
