PICTURE FRAMING - A Complete Guide

I've picked up a number of books on framing recently as I'm hoping to use bespoke framing to supplement my photography business. I found this one particularly useful, for two main reasons; it's up-to-date and it's written by a British author for a British audience. Not that I have anything against our American cousins, but it makes a very pleasant change to have a framing book use local terminology and link to local suppliers. It's not particularly in-depth, rather giving a fairly high-level view of quite a few aspects, but I learned something from every page.

very practical book enables you to start out in framing not long winded straight to the pointthere is a lack of detail in all aspects of framing but there are other books that could complimentthis one. it is my favourite framing book good advice on business aspects too

I am not sure who this book if for. Most of the info on opening a framing business is pretty basic and would be obvious to someone about to take this route. There are insufficient tips in the text to advance the skills of someone already framing. And the text does not quite get specific enough for someone just starting. Nicely presented but not really worthwhile.

Excellent range - from basics to setting up as a small business. A real sense of someone who knows what they're talking about!
