This is a gorgeous chess set the pieces are well made and quite heavy,particularly loved the detail of the knights, the board is also very nice, each piece has their own dedicated storage area, with a felt insert to cover the pieces when not in use, learned Granddaughter (8yr) to play last year so this was a perfect birthday gift to keep forever,she adores it. In my opinion worth the money, can be left on display as its beautiful to look at

Purchased as a birthday gift for our 14 year old grandson who has fairly recently discovered the delights of playing chess. He REALLY likes the set, the pieces have a nice weight to them & they can be stored safely in the box. The set is a great size, not too big. Very happy with this item & would recommend to others looking for a nice quality set that can be packed away when not in use.

The only half decent bit of this set is the board itself and that doesn't feel like it's worth the price. The pieces were poorly painted with the gold pieces looking like they'd been left in water for a long time. The foam inserts are cheap and nasty and not fixed in very well.Really disappointed.
