I bought this fountain for a cat who will only drink from moving water and needs to receive water in an area without an electrical outlet. I chose this model because it specifically advertised that it can be battery operated. However, it is NOT battery-operated and has only a USB power connection. Returned.

I initiated a return but then changed my mind & decided to try it. It is made of cheap quality material, the head comes loose on its own & the water turns into a fountain that empties the water storage. Very messy & NOT automatic.
