The media could not be loaded.  I have always used extending leads and always purchased the same brand. Increasingly over the years it has been harder and harder to find that brand with a tape lead rather than a cord. Tape is WAY better!This time I decided to try a different brand and I must say that I couldn’t be happier with my choice. It’s actually far superior to my usual ‘market leader’ selection. The tape is stitched at the edges rather than left bare. The clip is much more robust. The handle has room for thick gloves on cold days and it’s a sort of neoprene material so completely non-slip and comfortable.Lifting the attractive guard from the tape loop at the clip end I can see the stitching for the loop closure is excellent. The lock mechanism works back to front to what I’m used to but is actually more logical, pull back to lock/stop and push forward to go forward, simples!It’s also a lot less strain on my thumb as it’s a very small slick movement in either direction, brilliant for my arthritis.I don’t think I will be going back to my old brand, Chewy Express have definitly knocked them into a cocked hat. You could not be disappointed with this purchase!

Nicely made product, soft grip and locks up as it should when pressing the button. One of the things I liked the look of was the ‘tape’ style lead as opposed to the thin looking string type extendable leads. Issue I’m having is, it can tend to fold and struggles to recoil sometimes. To help it feed I have to hold the tape with my other hand when jogging so as it recoils I can ensure it guides in straight. I imagine the string types don’t have this issue...

The lock was barely working the first time I used it and by the second day broken. Do not buy it, waste of money, I bought a Flexi dog leash instead, so much better, I recommend.They were not helpful when I told them what happened, asked me for pictures and when I said I have a video (of the breaking button locking but not working) because it is broken on the inside which I stated in my first message they told me to contact Amazon and they will assist me, why waste my time if you was never going to help.

I'm very happy with this retractable lead. I wanted one that was a flat tape rather than a cord as my Spaniel keeps running around me in circles and the cord version can give awful rope burns when wearing short pants. It's large and robust, my daughter says it's more comfortable to hold because of the large rubberised handle. As can be seen in the pictures, the tape has reflective stitching for when you are walking at dusk and a car headlight is coming your way (not that you should be walking on the road of course).When we are camping, we also use it as an emergency retractable washing line.It was 15 quid delivered and I think that's a good price for a quality item like this. I'll update the review if anything untoward happens.

I use this lead on my dog and have had this for nearly over 2 and a bit years now. It's beginning to show signs of wear and tear as it no longer 'stops' or 'holds' the lead from extending. To be honest, I think it's lasted really well despite my mental dog pulling at times!

This is quite a clumsy lead that isnt as easy to use as some other brands. The lock has failed on mine a few times. Sorry but I wouldn't recommend.

I bought two of these, although generally pleased with the leads, I find them very difficult to lock off when the dog is walking along. You have to pull the catch back were all the other leads I have had you have to push the lock forward.

I'm so happy with this lead. As o use a electric wheelchair to get out and about, that means I walk my dog in a completely different way!I needed a lead which was nice and long as when I take her out, she likes to go to on the side where my control for my chair is...not easy!! This lead let's her go around the back of the chair and round the other side, well away from the wheels of my chair. The handle is nice and large -which might look a little odd as I have a chihuahua!!! The ergonomic design of the lead is just ideal for my needs to be able to go out with my dog. I need to be able to have a good grip on the handle and I definitely have that. I also like that you can use the push lock button very easily with the same hand, it's all in easy reach of the rubber gripped handle which I'm obviously holding at the same time. Although my dog dosnt wander off to much ahead of me and tends to stay by the side of my my chair, I need to let the lead locked out a little way out when we're by roads etc as I could accidently lose control of my chair a little -it's never happened to me but I need to be aware- if I do there's length to quickly get her out my way. I am really happy with this lead, it's the best I've owned so far, and with its 16 feet lead, when we go to the park I can just let the lock off and she can be so much more free! I can't fault this lead at all for how I need to use it with my little fur girl.

Me gusta mucho, no sabía que era tipo cinta, no cuerda.. parece de muy buena calidad. Me gusta llevarla por la noche un poco más suelta y buscaba una de este tipo. Además la cinta trae como unos bordes reflectantes, que en caso de ser iluminados por un coche, se vería la correa. De momento la llevo gastando 1 mes con un perro de 38 kilos y perfecta. Alguna vez le he dado algún tirón, pero no me he visto en la situación de que el perro saliera corriendo y le parara en seco, ja veremos, de momento cumple al 100%.
