Boss makes good pedals

I already had a Boss Super Chorus before I purchased this one. I already knew what I was getting but it never hurts to say that this pedal is quality built and sounds great like all Boss products. This is an easy choice considering the many choices one has with all the Chorus pedals available. Great value

Item arrived quickly and in good condition. Reasonable price for a model that has been around for years.

I'd never used this particular chorus pedal before, bought it on a whim. I really do like it, it's not quite thick enough of an effect for me (I prefer that wild "Nirvana-esque" chorus sound, but I'll be purchasing the super chorus next to see if I like it any better. I do love the fact that It can be used as a stereo chorus, and that the Boss pedal board I have it installed to supports the cabling required! Overall, great Boss quality as I'd expect.

Note: I'd give this unit 4-1/2 stars if Amazon had a half option. It's a very good unit, but not quite "perfect." The CE-5 has a very clean and variable chrous tone. I am especially impressed with how quiet it is as compared to lesser units (i.e. my old Berhingher now given to a friend). The build quality is typical Boss such that you could support your car with it while changing a tire; Boss makes some very rugged stuff. My only disappointment is that the chorus effect is relatively moderate, even with the depth and level set to max. I watched a YouTube demo and this seems to be how the unit performs. I don't expect to need a wild chorus effect, so this is hopefully not a problem (for me). But other users who like LOTS of chorus effect may not be satisfied with this unit. I thought the high and low filters would be a gimmick but found them to be very useful. Let the treble chime through when faking a 12 string, turn it down for other tunes.

I have had other pedals from this company and this one is just as well built and sturdy as their others. I have had some pedals that felt cheap, but this company knows what they are doing. The effects are awesome sounding. All of the little extras like picks and cloth were fun, but not necessary. Do not pay extra for them.

Good product with nice mix of sounds, great value for the money!
