I bought this Ariel Fashion Doll for my toddler's 4th birthday, and it was an absolute hit! She adores Ariel, so seeing her favorite character brought to life in such a beautiful doll made her day extra special.The doll is well-made, with vibrant colors and details that perfectly capture Ariel’s iconic look from The Little Mermaid. Good quality, very cute. She bends at the hip so it looks like she is swimming.

What a charming doll! Her hair is so voluminous and interesting with braided strands, and her face has unusual features - exotic and quite lovely with a serene expression. The arms move laterally and rotate at the shoulders but don't have any other articulation. The hip area has articulation, allowing the doll to sit with the tail straight out (there's no articulation in the "knee" area). The tail sculpting is nicely detailed with side fins, and the tail fin is especially large and ornately sculpted - very pretty. This doll is a great play-line item, especially for folks who like the Disney live-action Little Mermaid movie. I never saw the movie but thought the face sculpt was an accurate rendition of the actress who played the title role. Overall, for the price I paid (on sale for less than $10), this is a really nice doll - wanted it just for the head to swap onto an articulated body with legs. However, I will use this mermaid body in a custom project (won't let it go to waste!). Very happy with this purchase - she arrived new in boxed in perfect shape!

Mattel’s face sculpt is truly stunning! She looks just like the actress and so beautiful! She didn’t come with any accessories at all which is just what I expected for the $10 price. She will have fun with my daughter at bath time and fit right in with our other mermaids. Her hair is pretty cheap feeling, she’s extremely light weight with a heavy high quality fin-tail, so hopefully she holds up to play. And does not break. She is what you expect for the price tho. I would not want to have paid the msrp, even tho her face is beautiful; long time fans know Mattel cuts corners now pretty badly on quality. Esp compared to other brands like m G ABut that face? Stunnninngggggg. Or as Raquelle would say: “gorge” very happy

The doll seems fine but I received it cracked and opening. Disappointed in that but overall glad doll is fine just expect a damage box.

I have to say I’ve had the one with the blue dress for 2 years, and I absolutely adore her. I originally thought I was content without owning the mermaid version. However two things, I recently noticed a longer hair variant version and soon they’re going releasing a version with way less detail. I couldn’t let mermaid Ariel slip through my hands for this matter! I’ve also been very fascinated with Angel Kent’s work with Barbie recently, specifically the Oldie face mold. When I realized he designed Ariel’s face and tail details, I knew I had to have her asap. These details do not matter to parents buying this for their little humans. For the parent’s reading PLEASE know her fins can be hurtful if used to hit people, objects etc. 10/10 recommend for any Ariel fan or mermaid collectors!
