Works well but has serious problems
This product although basic works very well, we use it to reduce rolled oats to flour, this it can do in seconds. I would like to see an interlock to disable the motor when the lid is removed for safety, but we always unplug the mains before removing the lid. Now for the worrying problem with it, as supplied, it has a 2 round pin plug fitted and a 3 pin adapter to convert to UK mains sockets. This adapter,when fitted allows the machine to work but the earth pin in no way connects with the 2 pin earth system, this means that the machine is not earthed or protected by a fuse as the 2 pin plug or adapter contains no fuse. Should an electrical fault develop or the machine get damp the result could be fatal. The simple way to get over the problem is to have an electrician cut off the 2 pin plug and fit a UK standard 3 pin plug with fuse.

Dangerous product.
This product grinds very well. However, I had to take the bottom off to remove a loose screw rolling about inside. More seriously, it comes with an illegal and dangerous plug head. The product is of all metal construction but there is no provision for earthing it. There is a travel adapter included to convert the two pin plug to three pin, but this does not connect up the Earth wire to the supply and also there is no fuse in the plug or adapter. This means that the six ampere flexis only protected by the thirty two ampere circuit breaker back at the consumer unit. This poses a serious fire risk. I wrote to the supplier and they thanked me for the information and said they would try to do better. It remains that I have a highly dangerous and illegal product. I am an electrical engineer and I can easily make it safe by replacing the plug head with 13A BS 7671 plug head with appropriate earthing connection and fuse. I am concerned about how many of these products have been sold. Amazon don't seem concerned and have not replied.
