Great quality and size!
I took a chance on this soap based on reviews and am so glad I did. It's one of the only ones I've used that doesn't make me run for my hand cream within minutes, and I love the larger size so I don't feel like I'm replacing them every couple of weeks. I've bought 4 scents now, and here are my thoughts:Fig Apricot: My favorite! A unique and sophisticated scent that everyone comments on and asks about. I personally find it to lean a little more apricot than fig, but I've had others disagree (different noses and brains just process scents differently).Lemon Cream: This is my kitchen soap. I do like the freshness of a lemon soap in the kitchen, but love that this one cuts the usual sharpness with the softer cream.Vanilla Mint: This one is in our main bathroom for the holidays. We love peppermint soaps, namely because the cats do and it amuses us to see how lovey and playful they get when they smell it on us. xDSugar Cookie: I bought this to replace the Lemon Cream for the holidays, andit's the only one I was slightly disappointed with. When I think of a sugar cookie I think vanilla and almond. Pretty sure most of us do. Deep Steep has decided sugar cookie is lemon and vanilla instead (okay maybe a summertime sugar cookie can get away with some lemon, but not a holiday one). As a result, this smells just like the Lemon Cream it was intended to replace. In fact, I'm 98.72% sure (why yes, that IS an entirely arbitrary number) it's the exact same soap repackaged. While I do wish it was closer to what I was expecting, I'm not that upset as obviously I do like Lemon Cream and still appreciate the holiday packing, if nothing else. However if you have your heart set on true cookie scent or if you too feel the lemon out of place during the holidays, you'll want to look at another brand.

Good... but watch out!
Hold your hand flat when dispensing, or what you've squirted out will slip right out between your fingers and wash down the drain!Very good aroma and cleaning agents. Will reorder.

Great scent, not overpowering
Fun, festive scent! I love Deep Steep because the scents aren’t overwhelming. Sometimes scents give me a headache and these don’t. They make a great gift as well! They are the only soaps we use in our house.

A good vanilla-scented liquid hand wash.
First of all, I'm writing about the Deep-Steep Brown Sugar & Vanilla with Argan Oil hand soap. I notice that many different scents are covered in these reviews, but this is the only one I know. Scents seem to go through the same ins and outs of fashion as everything else and lately I had been having trouble finding Vanilla in a store, once a really common and popular scent. It may vary by region but Ive noticed lots of fruit scented soaps lately. Not only do I like vanilla but it is also kind of a scent without strong gender associations. Male or female guests can both enjoy it.I really like this company's version of vanilla. It's a little extra sweet because of the brown sugar but i like that when used lightly. The last vanilla hand wash i had a more bitter scent. I compared this to the smell of vanilla extract from a bottle and it compares favorably. Of course the bottled kind has a bit of alcohol in it that distorts the smell, but I don't keep actual vanilla beans around. The bottle is plastic, which I actually find helpful on a bathroom sink where it could fall. The Argan Oil is a moisturizer.

Overpowering scent
I used a soap at a friend's house with a beautiful, light rosemary mint scent and loved it. I wanted something similar so I opted give this a try. It arrived with no issues, perfectly intact and with a working pump. Packaging is clean and pleasant, size is decent for the price. However, I would never guess this to be a mix of rosemary and mint - it smells of very potent mint alone. I'm not usually too sensitive to fragrance, but when I've used this soap, I've been tempted to close my eyes anticipating them to sting due to just how strong the minty scent is. It's far too strong to be pleasant and I won't buy it again, I might give it away to someone who can handle it. It doesn't linger too strongly on the hands so maybe I'll attempt to use up the whole bottle. As much as I despise the scent, the formula doesn't feel drying and it lathers nicely. Based on scent alone this would get no stars, can't recommend if you're sensitive to fragrance or if you're looking forward to any hint of rosemary at all. This might be the mintiest soap on the market, if you're into that.

What happened to this soap? It used to be so amazing!
I purchased this hand soap years ago at a local retailer. It was so wonderful that I went to every location of that retailer within 20 miles of me (yes, I am serious!) in search of more bottles and purchased every one I could find. In fact, I purchased so many it took 5 years to use it all. Sadly, I ran out a few weeks ago and started searching for it online. I was elated to discover it on Amazon and purchased several bottles. I received my order and excitedly tore open the package do discover it not only smelled NOTHING like it used to but in fact... it is nasty/stinks. Sooooooo incredibly disappointing!!!!! I reached out to Deep Steep to see if they changed the formula over the years or if I just got a bad batch on Amazon. I sure hope it was a bad batch. Otherwise, my favorite hand soap has been ruined.
