Have an Overhead Legacy 920 Garage Door opener and the original sensors stopped working. I purchased another set originally which didn't work with my Legacy, but these worked like a champ. Highly recommend for the Legacy 920 replacement. Easy to install as well and half the cost to purchase directly from Overhead.

Solved my problem. My old Genie garage door opener stopped responding to the original sensors after banged into them one time too many. These solved my problem and installation was simplified since I was able to use the existing wires. I have a fully functional door.

My door began stopping midway through the closing cycle, and then reversing back to full open. I reset the travel limits with no success. Got these sensors today, replaced the red light sensor that I thought was bad with no success. Then replaced the green light sensor and success. Door now works fine again. Inexpensive fix, especially compared to a visit from a door repair company. Save time and go ahead and replace both. Very simple: two wires and polarity doesn't matter. Hook them up any old way.

They weren’t as east to install as advertised. I could not remove the sensors from their brackets which just made the installation a little trickier. But they did work perfectly once I managed to screw the brackets to my door frame.

I needed to replace my 25 year old sensors. These were easy to install. They fit in the same place. They work well and I would by them again.

I used the existing wiring off my old sensors making for a very easy install on my old Genie Garage Door Opener. Worked great, highly recommend. If the garage door company says you need to replace your Opener because it's old and the sensors stopped working, do like I did, ignore them, buy these and you'll be back in business. How do you know if you need new sensors? If you have to hold your button down to close the door, your sensors aren't lined up, something is blocking your sensors or your sensors are bad. It's that simple. If it's only happened once, then it's probably the 1st two but if it's a continuous problem, replace your sensors. Note: just look at the lights on the sensors to make sure they are working. If the lights aren't lit up or flashing, there's a problem.

Why did I not try replacing some old sensors sooner? My mother's garage door opener/closer was working terrible when open and the sun was shining in. Shading off the sensors from the sun helped only a little. Replacing the sensors with these was a miracle! The door opener/closer works perfectly now, even when the sun is shining in!
