Not as advertised
The ad says "Unique Shape - Our therapy balls are a unique “egg” shaped," The balls are NOT EGG shaped. They are small round balls, appx. 1 1/2 inches in diam. The finger band insertion points are not distributed in proportion to the normal hand. The little finger should have a greater span then the bands allow for. The bands are not properly calibrated for the normal human hand. Also the human thumb is closer to the index finger then it is to the little finger, so the design of the band should take that fact into consideration. It would appear that the finger exerciser band was designed for mass production and not the human hand. Tests indicate that the degree of resistance shown in the ad can not be supported. Neither the balls nor the bands have a easily measurable difference in resistance. The low rating is because the product as advertised is not the product that I received. The functionality of the product is greatly reduced by the inappropriate design. Not recommended for hand, arm or shoulder recovery. Hope that helps.

They work. No instructions
I bought the Hand Grip Strengtheners so my mom could use them. Her hands have been mangled in falls and arthritis over the years. She has gradually lost strength in them so we want to strengthen them again. She loves the balls and noticed a difference right away in getting her hand and fingers into a fist. I don't see the "egg shape" as described in the description for the balls. They look like a soft round ball. The balls and finger stretchers feel like the same resistance but according to the picture on the site they are all different. It would really be nice to have instructions with the product. It's a hassle to have to go on Amazon to try and figure out how to use the finger bands and balls. Especially because my mother doesn't have online access. I was clueless how the finger stretchers worked. Once you know where to place your fingers the rest is easy. Then it's about building up strength and there is definitely resistance with the bands. I'm a massage therapist and have strong hands....or at least I thought I did. I'm going to be using the finger strengtheners as well. I was surprised the resistance bands were hard to do. The lack of instructions with the product will always be a star off for me. Otherwise, these are beneficial.

Complete hand exercises
I'm starting to get arthritis in my hands. It is frustrating because I write and type all day long at work and stiff hands are not pleasant. I would periodically make a fist and stretch a few times. When I saw this Hand Grip Strengthener I jumped at it.I love the balls. They have just the right balance between being soft and squishy and being firm. Enough give to allow you to get a good grip, but then firm enough to give good resistance. The finger exercisers, not so much. They are small for my fingers, so I spent time getting them on only to find I couldn't really stretch my fingers out. Perhaps they are too small for me. The amount of resistance they provide is significant. When I was able to stretch my hand open I could sense how much resistance there was and how that would enhance hand strength.

Not for larger hands
I really wanted to like these. I've started playing the bass guitar and needed to build up some finger strength. Unfortunately my fingers are just a bit too big for these bands to work properly. Yes I did try to stretch them down past the first finger joint as it shows in the illustrations, but it cut off my circulation, so that was a no go. So I had to go with using them on the finger tips and they do work to a degree, but not fully for what I needed. So a yes for the design and the quality of the product, but a no if in the case you have larger hands like myself. On the other hand, the stress balls work really well. Thank you.

Showed me how weak my hands are
I'm still trying to figure out these hand grip exerciser and finger exerciser. I put them on my fingers and was confused because they are so tight! But my husband came and tried one on and could stretch them a lot easier than I could. Goes to show me that I really need these and should be working my fingers/hands better. I'm hoping that by using them often it will help me gain more strength in my hands. I like the hand griper to use while sitting at my desk in a zoom meeting. It's a good fidget toy at the same time as building strength in my hands. Overall, for the cost of these I can't complain.

Climbers need these
These are good for doing antagonistic exercises when your tendons are hurting from too many crimps. The balls are not particularly useful for me, but my daughter likes them.I find that with these bands, most of the pulling is done with the pinky and index finger. I have another set that has individual bands for each finger and the whole thing connects to the wrist. I think that one is a bit better for my needs. But these are nice a small and can fit in your pocket for quick easy use anywhere. And this set is very affordable. It makes a good gift for a new climber.
