White Sands Gel-Us 7.5 Oz

Very good product for me - sorry that White Sands quit making it.

I wear my hair very short and this product keeps it in place all day. I love White Sands and have used it for many years

This is a good product, but it was so poorly packaged that it had leaked out, not just a little, but a lot. Would not buy from this supplier again.

I have fine straight hair, amazing lift and outcome with this product. My hair dresser recommended it about 10 years ago and I have been using it ever-since.

I have use White Sands hair serum for a decade and love it. Decided to try this product- in addition to the bad smell, the product left a residue on my hair.

I was first introduced to White Sands at my hair salon; I LOVED the gel she used and bought some for myself. Amazing. So the next time I went, they were out of stock. I figured I'd just see if I could buy it online. I found this--And found that it wasn't quite the same. It's a much thinner gel than the kind my salon had sold me (which is labeled "designer gel"). It doesn't seem to have as great of hold, but was otherwise very similar. The smell is pleasant, it provides my hair with lift (I use a round brush and blow dry the bangs/crown of my head, then blow dry upside down the remainder of my hair. It works very well-- not as good as the thicker version -- but there's no buildup, no flaking, no greasy feeling, none of the things I hate about other hair gels. I've since checked White Sands' website and I'm thinking that they've discontinued the Designer Gel or that it's only available through salons. I'll inquire about it the next time I'm at my stylist's, but this product - Gel-Us, would be my second favorite gel.

My sister was raving about Curlsmith In-Shower Style Fixer, and looking at the ingredients the one that stood out was polyquaternium-69, which very few products use. Since the Curlsmith product has a preservative that I try to avoid, I did a search for other products and discovered Gel-Us.This gel is not marketed as a firm hold product, and it is not. With my hair, I experience absolutely no "cast". What this product DOES do, however, is maintain my curl pattern over multiple days with minimal frizz. Yes, there is some frizz, but it's not excessive, and my hair stays in curls, when it would typically end up looking like I'd stuck my finger in an electrical socket or start becoming matted in the back.It also maintains a high degree of "touchability", being soft (zero "crunch"), but not feeling like there is product buildup. I also don't experience any irritation or scalp itching like I generally would after using other hair gel products, "refreshing" after a couple of days, and going several days without shampooing.

I was introduced to this in Vegas area by my hair tech years ago. When I moved to NW my new tech was not Familiar with this product. So I searched & searched for it then after a year it showed up on Amazon. Yippee very little goes a long way, your hair shows volume which is great for me as I’m getting thin with age. Been using this gel for about 9 years.
