I love all types of Panettone...must be in my genes! That said, the missus likes Panettone, but does not like the "canditi," the bits and pieces of dried fruits and citrus rinds. This Maina Panettone is the perfect solution!. It is a delicious, soft, cake which one can tear apart, just like a croissant. And that's just as authentic as one can get. Instead of the canditi, the Maina uses delicious raisins, making for a wonderful breakfast cake. Since they are only readily available around Christmas, I buy and freeze, so we can enjoy Panettone for breakfast during the Summer. What a treat!
