These fitted perfectly and have stopped my washing machine dancing around the kitchen like a drunk teenager at a house party. The drum also now doesn't bang when it spins, so the cat is no longer terrified. Happy days.

My 16 year old Miele started tripping out on the rinse cycle. I read that there were two potential problems. The motor brushes or the circuit board controller. I decided to buy the brushes and bought some genuine Miele ones from eSpares. You can get a lot cheaper (£12 versus £65 I think), but I was worried they wouldn't fit from some of the reviews. I replaced them and it was like new again. It was relatively easy to change the brushes so I thought why not replace the shock absorbers too - as the cause of the second problem, the board failure was that people tend to overload the machine. Over the years it wears out the shock absorbers and the machine shakes so much the circuit boad breaks. Instaed of buying genuine I bought these. They are almost exactly the same as the ones I removed - a tiny difference on the moulding. However, they are made by the same manufacturer and costs a fraction of the price. To be fair my existing ones didn't feel to bad, but I put these in. Dead easy to fit. Took less than an hour. But make sure you use a socket wrench with an extender to reach down into the lefthand side. Some people turn the machine upside down, but that's just making life difficult. These are heavy old machines and you can pretty much replace these in situ without having to move it. Hoping for another 4-5 years of life.

Good product fitted perfectly and solves the problem

Due to the great price and free shipping for orders over £20 I bought 2 pairs and they arrived a few days later. One pair was for my Miele W842 washing machine. You will appreciate that it was a hesitant purchase as I was expecting an average quality product and you would be forgiven for thinking the same. However, I was very surprised to see that the quality was as good if not better than the Genuine Miele shock absorbers. I say this for two main reasons. Firstly, the materials which have been used are good quality overall, for example the plastic rods are very well cast with the brand "Suspa" cast into the plastic and secondly the plastic rods are designed to give 6 contact surfaces instead of the 4 on the original Miele parts. I have included two photos so you can see the quality of these parts. Importantly they measure just over 200mm overall when closed and approximately 275mm when open. If you take the measurements from the centre of the holes then thats about 175mm when closed and 245 when open. These sizes are the same as the genuine Miele ones. I would not hesitate to recommend this seller and product.

I have a heavily used 14 year old Miele Premier Novo W842. The machine's drum started jumping around badly while spinning heavy loads (e.g. towels). Indeed it must have been so bad that the drum has hit and scratched the perspex dome of the door. Eventually this somehow, probably by overloading the motor, caused the motor polarity switching relay on the main board to fail, so I should have acted much sooner. The original shocks on my machine were by Aweco, but these seem of an identical pattern and from what I have read Suspa are the brand fitted to most Miele machines. Fitting the shocks is a little tricky. You have to work with a long socket extension bar through not ideally placed holes on the inner front panel of the machine to tackle the nuts, and then you need rubber wrists to get inside the machine to line up the holes in the new shocks with the fixing bolt holes. You don't need to worry about the drum collapsing as it is held securely by the suspension springs. The replacements work fine, and have made a huge difference to the stability of the drum. And at a fraction of the price of the Miele branded replacements.

Genuine Suspa OEM parts at a very good price.

These fit, and work perfectly in, a Miele W961 (bought in 2000) washing machine. They are virtually identical to the Miele branded parts that I removed, which, after 18 years, had lost almost all resistance - should be 115N-120N - and were the cause of excessive machine vibration - now cured. Replacement was made easier by inserting the original transport stabiliser bars, putting the machine on its back and gaining access through the easily removed (4 screws) washing machine base plate. Fitting only required a 13mm spanner or socket for the bolts at each end. If your machine is vibrating excessively, then these replacements are strongly recommended, and well worth doing before the vibration shakes the machine enough to break a component on the printed circuit board (it was also relatively easily fixed, but prevention would have been better than cure!).

Arrived quickly from Europe and bolted straight into place. Instantly gave the bowl more stability. Job done

Achetés pour remplacer des amortisseurs Miele d'origine, Ils sont absolument identiques à ceux d'origine, pour un prix défiant toute concurrence, du coup j'en ai pris 2 jeux (26,56€ les deux jeux et port gratuit, donc le 2è jeu me revient à 10€!), ils sont de la même marque (SUSPA) avec les mêmes références: type 012 - 120nm - + la date de fabrication (voir ci-dessous) .Seule la marque Miele ne figure pas sur le tube (mais sur l'étiquette du plastique d'emballage, collée par Amazon). En précisant que ces amortisseurs sont montables sur une foultitude de machines Miele et pas seulement sur le modèle de l'annonce (pour ma part j'ai une W 800). Vous tapez "amortisseurs Miele 120n 8mm" et vous tombez sur des vendeurs qui vous donnent les machines Miele compatibles. Ils sont aussi utilisables sur d'autres marques si la longueur et les encoches de fixation sont bonnes...Vu leur prix çà vaut le coup de chercher un peu... J'ai ouvert un des deux usagés pour comprendre le système, qui est très simple: -le haut du piston présente deux gorges superposées,comblées par deux joints caoutchouc large de 1cm, et graissés pour coulisser serré dans le tube....et c'est tout! -Le coulissage est freiné par la friction serrée, et par l'air emprisonné entre le haut du piston et le haut du tube métal (comme une seringue dont vous poussez le piston en bouchant la sortie): en compression, l'air est comprimé, puis s'échappe lentement. En étirement il se forme un vide d'air qui se remplit doucement . Tout çà freine bien l'entrée et la sortie du piston, dont le mouvement est possible mais très ralenti. La répétition des frictions use doucement le joint, ainsi que la durée (en années) qui craquelle le joint dans le temps: dès que l'air peut passer librement, c'est mort. Contrôler la date de fabrication sur le tube: le 1er chiffre = la semaine de fabrication (pour moi 45) le 2è est l'année (pour moi 16 = 2016) Si la date est un peu ancienne, les joints peuvent être déjà altérés et moins étanches, et c'est sans doute pour cette raison que la date est indiquée. Vu la simplicité du système, je pense que ces adaptables sont rigoureusement identiques aux originaux. La seule éventuelle différence pourrait être la qualité des joints plus résistants sur les originaux, mais je ne pense pas que SUSPA joue ce jeu là, ils n'auraient rien à gagner à faire un amortisseur moins cher pour une mauvaise qualité...Quand ceux-ci seront morts je les ouvrirai aussi pour contrôle. En revanche le fait de rajouter la référence Miele sur les originaux inspire plus confiance, et permet au vendeur pro ...de les vendre beaucoup plus cher! (près de 100€!) parce que c'est "de la marque"! Je les ai remonté très facilement et çà marche à merveille! Pas la peine de dépenser plus! Pour tester vos amortisseurs c'est très simple: -vous ouvrez le hublot et vous appuyez énergiquement quelques secondes sur le bas du tambour, celui-ci doit descendre difficilement et remonter lentement dès que vous lâchez. -Si le tambour bouge plutôt lentement mais facilement : les amortisseurs sont en fin de vie...et à changer rapidement (çà ne tiendra plus longtemps!) -Si le tambour descend facile et remonte illico, avec parfois un petit rebond, c'est mort,il n'y a plus que les gros ressorts de cuve qui travaillent et ne sont plus freinés: la machine cogne dur à l'accélération et à la décélération de l'essorage (plutôt moins en pleine vitesse), elle veut se promener dans la pièce...mais SURTOUT le tambour , qui oscille trop , peut venir taper sur l'intérieur du hublot au point de le rayer avec la rotation, jusqu'à le briser dans les cas extrêmes (gros balourd avec un linge mal réparti)...Là c'est changement en urgence!! Pour changer les amortisseurs, ouvrir le panneau avant. Si vous ne savez pas le faire, vous pouvez coucher la face arrière de la machine sur une couverture (attention, c'est lourd!) et accéder aux amortisseurs par le dessous qui est toujours ouvert : l'accès aux vis de fixation est possible comme çà. Une fois desserrées le changement est enfantin. Bien resserrer en raison des vibrations. En espérant vous avoir été utile, Amicalement MD
