Set of 25 Cray Pas Expressionist Oil Pastel, Assorted Colours

These are, for some people, the go to oil pastel, and now I know why.the colours are vibrant, the blending sublime, and the ease of lay down is a dream. Whether you're looking to create painterly thick strokes, or looking to create flat layers using a solvent, whether applying seeping backgrounds or looking to add some detail, these will absolutely not let you down.They go down well on just about any surface I've tried, too - from pastel paper, watercolour paper, all the way to simple sketch pad paper. Each time, the result is excellent.This is one of the few products that will put a smile on your face and really make you look forward to using them.

At first I was disappointed with this set, as they are less opaque than my Faber Castell pastels and have a different level of blendability, but eventually I figured out how to use them to achieve nice results and now I'm quite content with them.I use them for sketchbook art.

I thought it was so small when received, so went to send back and had to send back to US, it would have cost me £10.40 minimum, so have had to keep something I didn't want, maybe I didn't look at returns info but I have always ordered on Amazon and first time I have had this and I order a lot online through amazon Andrea,

These are awesome! So easy to use and blend nicely. I went for the 25 shades being a beginner but will definitely order the 50 shades next time! The only think I can say is when you're doing oil pastel drawings you tend to use a lot of white for sharing ect so it would be useful if maybe there were 2 sticks of white instead of 1, I can see myself having to try and order some extra white ones separately

I use them with some watercolour paintings to establish stronger (BITE) areas

Exactly the pastels that were used in my beginners class.

good oil pastels with very good blending ability........nice range of colours but could do with more blacks
