BBQube Heat Deflector/Drip Pan for Akorn Kamado Kooker Grill & Smoker, Stainless Steel, One Size

used this in my egg bbq. Fits perfectly on the lugs inside the lower half. I cover it in aluminum foil, and place my pan of water on it. Smoked ribs/chicken/sausage. Got great results. Easy to control heat and no overdrying of any of the meat since this forces all the heat into indirect mode.

The heat defector is necessary for grilling some food items. I would think that it would be included with the grill

It is metal, it deflects heat, easy to clean with a scraper. Could not be happier, worked well with my Akorn and it is not as breakable as the ceramic one I bought that lasted a little more than a week.

I added this to my AKORN Kamado Char-Griller. It fit perfectly and does the trick. Only wish I'd picked this up earlier. I went through several pizza stones, but this thing should be unbreakable.

I've used this a number of times since receiving and like it very much. Works same way as much more expensive stone offered by Chargriller but not brittle and prone to breaking like the stone. I use a cast iron pan as a water bowl during smoking and this has no problem handling the weight which was my major concern. I plan on buying one for my Akorn jr once the smoking stone breaks, which is inevitable. A definite thumbs up for this item.

Works/fits great! Smoked a turkey for Thanks Giving. It worked great.

I want to like this heat deflector but the fit and finish leave a lot to be desired. The deflector is sturdy and made of good material, but the edges are unfinished and sharp. A little bit of deburring would be nice. Also, dimensionally it’s too big. I’ll need to trim about 1/4” off one end so it’ll sit flat like it’s supposed to. I bought this instead of the stone because I was thinking it would be more durable. While it’ll be more durable, I’ll need to modify it to fit and be careful not to cut myself when handling it

Muy buen producto, soporta el peso y resiste muy bien las altas temperaturas. Definitivamente más económico que la piedra, la cual es difícil encontrar en México.
