JABULANI, enriching children's values
Jonathan Stotler is sensitive to the wonders of children and how they view the world around them. Jonathan's and Becky's values in this children's book tell the story of how children live in another part of the world, especially when USA children live with video games and their iPhones. The "Reader's Guide" is a very useful tool in helping to remember the thrust of the narrative. For instance, most children have running water in the home. Do our children in the USA know what a well pump is? Yes, I recommend this book written by my First Cousin's son, Jonathan, who has an understanding of the world around him.Respectfully Submitted,Dr. William H. Stotler

Great book for our kid's library
Our daughters loved this book! Jabulani is very informative, giving an engaging snapshot of a day in the life of a young boy, helping young readers relate to what life is like for others. And we appreciated the lesson on how kindness can be shown in many ways. The vivid illustrations fill out the character of the story and the reader's guide at the end even became a bit of a game to see who could remember the answer first. Great book for your child's library!

Introduce a child to a different culture
Short story about a week in a boy's life in Africa. Will introduce a child to some basic info about a different culture and how to help others in everyday tasks. Illustrations are colorful and help explain the story. I really liked the discussion questions at the end - good tools to help discuss the book with your child. Great for kindergarten-aged kids.

Our new favorite bedtime story!
A story that remarkably balances the twin tasks of informing young readers about a new culture and encouraging good character development. The beautiful illustrations help provide a truly immersive reading experience. Jabulani was enjoyed by my entire household of ages 4-60+ and we are all excited to read more. I'm ordering more copies to give to friends.

Loved it.
Having raised my own boys in Southern Africa, I can't wait to share this with my grandchildren, their children, someday.
