Gladstone 4 Seater Bench - 1.8m

I was amazed at the quality of this bench. No screws anywhere and as solid as a rock. Nice shaping on the arms too. It came ready-assembled. Full marks to the delivery man who brought it up the drive and placed it ready to sit on. Not even any packaging to dispose of. I expect this bench to outlive me by a long way.

This bench is very well made and is as solid and good looking as I had hoped, buying it "blind". Comes already assembled, and by assembled I mean proper joints not screws! I am no expert on wood, but it all seems good quality - I have seen some benches of this type where the slats are clearly made of inferior wood - not in this case. Speaking of knots (!) the other defect in some benches is lots of them - not so in this case. The bench looks fine in it's natural state, but I have recently treated it with teak protector, which as well as doing what it says on the tin (plastic bottle, actually) gives it a beautiful light brown shading which brings out the grain pattern etc. Last but not least, as well as looking great and sturdy enough to last and withstand the elements, it's very comfortable - all relevant edges rounded off, deep enough to support all of the top half of your legs and high enough at the back that it supports you well there too! A great buy!

When I ordered this bench through Amazon I was a little unsure whether or not I had done the right thing. This was purely because of the price and not having actually seen an example in person. I certainly didn’t have to worry and if you are reading this review I would also suggest that you don’t worry. Yes there are cheaper products available. I would also suggest there are more expensive benches available too. None however, in my opinion will come close to the quality and appearance of this particular bench. It truly is above and beyond everything I expected. Outstanding! I cannot recommend highly enough. The customer service was also excellent with communication around delivery. Nothing was too much. The guy that delivered the bench from the company was incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s been so lovely to deal with a company that really does provide a quality product and one that really does take their customers requests seriously. A+++++ The photos I have uploaded show the bench with one coat of clear Teak oil applied.

A good looking bench, appears to be well built. The seller is v confident about the quality of the product but can only provide a 1 year guarantee. When contacted and pushed, the seller explained that I'd have had to pay significantly more to get a longer guarantee. Hold on a minute! What happened to that quality argument if that is the answer? V odd response. I'm hoping that the bench will prove to be more credible.

Absolutely beautiful! If I had more money I'd order 2 more for our very large garden but will have to wait! Well worth the money - solid, well made and classic. I treated it with the teak preservative and it looks gorgeous! I also called the company and ordered their made to measure seat cushions because it's not sold on Amazon- really pleased I did as it fits perfectly. The protective cover is worth getting as well - I leave the coushion on at night and just cover the whole bench up ready to uncover dry and clean in the morning. This is my favourite sitting area for a sneaky sundowner ( drink!)

Absolutely delighted. From the moment it came off the wagon I knew we'd chosen a quality product. This is an incredibly solid, robust bench - the sheer weight of it tells you how sturdy it is and how long it's likely to last. Best of all it looks imposing and feels incredibly spacious to sit on. I have a feeling we'll be enjoying many a late-summer-afternoon tipple over the coming years, sitting there on this fantastic bench watching the sun go down. Cheers!

A brilliant bench. Well made with good looks taboot. I went for the 6ft (180 cm) version and was not disappointed. I covered it in teak protector (two coats) and it looks the business. The benefits of it already being assembled are the rigidity and the lack of rickityness so often found in less expensive versions. Can highly recommend this bench. Whilst I invested in a seat cushion for this bench, I would also recommend purchasing some outdoor cushions to give support to your back as it can become (only) slightly uncomfortable after a while.
