They are really bright when you are looking at them but they don't put a lot of that light onto the ground.

This was the perfect product for my son and his safety. He rides his longboard to his friends and sometimes it is dark. These lights are very bright and work perfectly to keep him safe when he is riding at night.

I own these lights, I would agree that these lights front or rear are meant for others to see you. Headlamps will deal with greater range. Like driving a car, don’t out drive your lighting. My main gripe is shreadlights are claimed to be water resistant. I would have a better belief of that if the charge port area had a cover over it. As it sits there is a large opening for water to access the circuit board. Better if top mounted rather than bottom mounted because this opening forms a “cup” if bottom mounted.

Lights arent even bright enough to see 1 foot ahead!! Pointless unless you just want others to possibly see you but you surely wont be able to see anything going 22mph. They fall off, shut off randomly, start blinking and you have to charge each one separately. Complete waste of money! Buy yourself a headlamp and attach to your helmet. You need something that is actually bright and more than 4 inches above the ground to see where youre going at night. A headlamp will illuminate the road ahead, wherever your head turns. Do some research on reddit about these before wasting your money like we all have.

tried other lights which didnt mount properly and ultimately broke off from standing the board up. shred lights are stealth and tucked away. super bright and look sweet at night . if you e board at night these are a must .
