A critically important human probiotic that colonizes the gut
I am what I'd consider a probiotics connoisseur. I lactoferment a wide variety of things at home with wild yeast (sauerkraut, sourdough, mead, kombucha, rejuvelac, yogurt, etc...) and I've spent a good deal of time researching many probiotics that aren't the commonly known ones sold in stores that everyone knows about (and which are a waste of time). I got interested in Reuteri after reading tons and tons of literature about how critical it is to just about everything in and on the body. Amazon won't let me post links in this review, but there is a staggering amount of research about Reuteri, which happens to be the probiotic that is in human breast milk and is responsible for colonizing babies' GI systems which becomes the foundation of their immune systems. Since babies don't produce stomach acid, the Reuteri goes right through the GI tract undigested. Since we adults obviously produce stomach acid, these pills are enteric coated to make sure the probiotics get to where they need to be without getting killed off by stomach acid. One of the the important things to keep in mind about probiotics is that there are two categories: (1) The type that DON'T colonize. These may exert some beneficial results as they pass through the digestive tract, but once they exit the other end they are gone for good. This would be probiotics found in yogurt and most of what is commonly sold in stores. Don't get me wrong, these probiotics have a place, but since they don't colonize, their action is limited and you must constantly take them. (2) The type that DO colonize. These are considered 'human' probiotics, and Reuteri is an example. (Another example in this category is Clostridium butyricum). These strains are normally produced within the gut but may be reduced or completely destroyed as a result of antibiotics, aggressive viruses in the virome, a diet that doesn't support them, etc... The good things about these probiotics is that after doing a good supplementation, they should stick around and continue doing good things behind the scenes. Probiotics not only keep pathogenic bacteria and yeasts in check, but they exert a powerful influence over neurotransmitters (which affect mental health) and actually produce certain vitamins. Lactobacillus Fermentum actually produces and recycles glutathione and improves heart and liver health! A few weeks ago, I ate something against my better judgement that didn't smell right. Afterwards, I started developing some chronic GI distress that appeared to be a pathogenic bacteria taking up permanent residence in my gut. Not having my go-to probiotics on hand, I decided to give these Reuteri pearls a shot, since I'd recently ordered them. After about 2 days of taking these, my GI system was happy again. I finished the box for extra measure, and I will probably reorder these again in the future as a 'booster'. Let me know if you have any questions and consider letting me know if you found this review helpful. *I have noticed that several reviews I have written on items purchased through Amazon have had the "Verified Purchase" removed incorrectly and as a result are no longer visible, which is likely happening to other people as well. When you read reviews, be sure to sort by 'All reviews' since there is obviously a bug in the system and many helpful and detailed reviews are now hidden.

A product for every day
I've been using Nature's Way Primadophilus Reuteri Pearls for almost 10 years now, and it's a product that I recommend without reservation (unless you're vegetarian or vegan - the coating has fish gelatin in it.) While I do think that discussing your digestion is TMI, there is no way to give a proper review without at least alluding to what the benefits of this product are. Suffice to say that if you suffer from slow digestion, these pearls plus adequate hydration will improve matters greatly. I no longer have any of the complaints that I used to have regarding waste functions, which might seem laughable to some, but it is no laughing matter for we who suffered from childhood with those complaints. Some of the other effects I've noticed might be placebo yet should be noted are that I have far less bloating of any kind, I did drop those stubborn five pounds, and I've found that my skin is less rashy and sensitive. For someone like me, who is prone to allergies and doesn't tolerate yogurt or kimchee or other food-based probiotics, reuteri is absolutely perfect. The pearls claim to deliver the probiotic bacteria directly to your gut, as the coating on them can survive your stomach acid. While I can't prove that it's so, I can say that the effect of taking the pearls was immediately obvious to me when I started using them all those years ago. Within one day, I saw a definite positive effect, and after a week, a very large positive change. I've taken these every day since then, without fail. The price on Amazon is excellent; I was paying double for half the amount from a pricey natural supermarket chain that shall remain unnamed. Highly recommended. Thank you very much for reading my review!

Great product
Tremendous difference between this one and an almost identical product from the same company. The only difference is the strain of L.Reuteri. The other one does nothing but soften my BMs, but this one has a really wide range of positive affects. One obvious thing it does is make my BMs/gas smell like baby poo. Which makes sense considering L.Reuteri is found in breast milk. EDIT: experiences with probiotics are going to vary quite a bit from person to person. I took a soil bacteria probiotic which permanently changed a bunch of stuff for the worse, and now this one mostly only has detrimental effects on me, similar to the previous one I mentioned from the same company.

Also - klare Kaufempfehlung!
