Ordered for my 40W Laser. This is NOT a chiller. No refrigeration of the water. Simply a fan blowing across the top of the water. And if it is warm in your studio, it's blowing warm air on your water.It can't keep up with a 40W laser. Despite refrigerating the distilled water, adding distilled water ice cubes. Still difficult to keep my water temp below 29 degrees.Don't waste your money, just get a 5000 level CHILLER instead.

We bought this unit because it was specifically advertised as a "CHILLER" but in fact this unit is simply an ambient temperature cooler blower. It has coils which air is blown over. So the 80W laser could be in danger of being damaged. Because we had to wait for Monport to ship our Laser and it took months we were not able to return this unit after we realized what it actually was. This is FALSE ADVERTISING of what this unit is. It should be labeled properly or taken of the market. Btw, the "real" water chillers are hundreds of dollars more, so you are hooked by the lower price of this "cooler." Don't be fooled.

Nice unit, but does not cool water. Water gets heated by laser and stays hot. If used in air conditioned room, it might suffice. Does not meet needs of warehouse shop scenario.

THIS IS NOT A CHILLER, it is described as a chiller, it is labeled as a chiller but is not. will only get coolant to room temp with very little use of laser which is definitely not the recommended temp not even for the popular K40 laser machine that is only 40w an this description states it good for 40-80w laser. I believe this item should be taken down as many are purchasing because of the lower price compared to the actual real chillers to find out later that this unit doesnt work for there machine an the risk of burning up there laser tube due to the coolant not cooling the tube enough. This item should be listed as a Cooler not a Chiller, big difference in temp.
