Firzone FZ-RM1 Radiance Mat

I just received this mat and I am generally happy with it. I bought it to keep my massage clients warm on the table whilst giving a little extra therapeutic effect of FAR Infrared. The product was shipped extremely promptly and is good construction. It rolls up nicely and cables/controllers seem to be of good quality. My clients are grateful for the extra warmth during these winter months. Although the service, quality and delivery were good, I did not give a full 5 stars because the mat is not very powerful and is uneven in it's ability to heat. This mat has 1,2,3 heat settings. 1 is very mild, maybe close to body heat. 2, is slightly higher, and 3 is what I would call "warm". Both, My clients and I were happy with the warmth on the 3rd setting but for therapeutic purposes you need a little more. Especially since some people run very cold. Others have injuries or acute issues that require more reactive heat. Standard massage table warmers can pump out quite a bit of radiant heat to reach these therapeutic temperatures. Seeing as this mat costs nearly twice the standard massage table warmer, I expected a more powerful tool. I feel that this item should have a 4th or even 5th setting (to sweat a little) Heating can be uneven, due to the nature of the carbon fiber heat is more present when greater pressure is added to the mat. if you are lying on the mat, the sharper protrusions of the body can get quite warm whilst other areas mildly so. This can also be an issue if something is in between the mat and the skin (in my case a towel). additionally, if the mat surface is not firmly pressed against the skin it feels rather weak. I found myself forcefully pushing my sore achilles tendons against the mat to get more warmth. Again, this is likely due to the low power of the product. Although, I am pleased with this product- I think they can do better
