Oh yeah worth the money for sure.Can't be compared with the hyper expensivebut come on, the yellow is there and the aroma is not overwhelming andit doesnt cost arm and a leg to upgrade white rice to yellow rice :)

It's good enough if you use saffron very often. My mother loves the stuff and she's happy with it. She even adds a pinch in her morning cereal!

I make paella on special occasions and use this spanish saffron. It adds nice color and flavoring. It is comparable to my experience with paella in Spain.

I have been using Saffron for decades. Most of which I bring back from Spain where you can sniff it in the stores. As others have said, the color of the threads is not uniform. When I opened the plastic bag, there is the aroma of plastic (others have said this, too). I cooked some rice with it. The rice had a nice color but absolutely no saffron flavor. I am very disappointed with my purchase and, as others have said, you getwhat you pay for. I'm trading up to the $200/oz saffron. I'm throwing this stuff out.
