Bought for nephew 10th birthday. Said best present he had

this book is a great present for young students, full of simple and interesting explanations about our physical world.

This is a magical book! My eight year old grandson started to ask questions about Atoms that I just could not answer - he and his brother, two years older, are now competing for the book.Out in the garden, the little one was explaining to me the physics of how to curve the ball into the back of the net, (and it worked!!) and in the car on the way home from the gym, he explained that atoms are made out of neutrons, protons and electrons... and he started to tell me how they are held together. I have a feeling it will be a huge hit for many years to come.

Bought for school studies. Good explanations and easy to read.

This whole science series had been a blessing during lockdown schooling at home! Physics was never my strong point so helping my daughter was a nightmare! This book, like all of them in this series is bright, interesting, relevant and really easy to understand.

I thought this was an important book; my son who is doing GCSE Physics said it motivated him much more than his text books, and led to him understanding core concepts much more easily than when he had had them explained at school. I enjoyed it too, having forgotten most of my O Level Physics. I wish I had had a teacher like Hammond.

My 9 year old granddaughter was delighted with this book! She now knows more about atomic theory than most children her age and is now reading the section on the history of scientific discovery. Beautifully produced and illustrated and subject areas covered in surprising depth - an absolute winner!
