So, I purchased these on a whim for our daughter's 8th bday party. They were a Huge hit with all 17 girls who attended. In actuality, I still had them "hidden" and wasn't sure I was going to bring them out... but, somehow one of the girls discovered them, because lo-and-behold, girls with heavily painted faces were running around the house. We put out a package of wet wipes, which very easily removed the face paint, and allowed the girls to do a second or even third design. And, even after the party was over.... every single face paint stick has at least 50% of the paint still left and is in good enough shape to use again and again. The containers they come in are very well designed as well, with easy to remove and replace caps.

I was a first time face painter and appreciated that these were Dermatologist approved. I was also glad I chose these over pots and brushes, as they seemed easier to use. They were somewhat dry and hard to apply. Dabbing a wet paper towel on the skin helped the crayons glide over and impart color to the skin easier. The colors could use a bit more pigmentation as they were not vivid and many did not stand out as well as I would have liked. Lighter colors were hard to see on light colored skin. Overall, they were easy to carry and use, and did the job. Adults and kids alike enjoyed the experience:) Tip for other novices: I searched the Internet for appropriate face painting ideas, which I compiled and printed on a sheet of paper and brought with me. That was a huge help.

These are a cinch to use and easy to clean off faces. My 3- and 4-year-olds aren't picky and simply want paint on their faces - they are fine with blobs that I call dragons :) I like that I can get them out of the drawer, paint for one minute, put them back in the tray and done! They're happy because they got their faces painted and there was no set-up or clean-up for me! I also want to break these out at a party and let the older ones paint each other's cheeks. If you are looking for precise paints that you can use to create detailed pictures - try a different product!

Quality is fine for simple patterns. The pen is hanrd and dry, so have to push hard to let the color stay on face (which make it harder to do with toddlers), light color like white and yellow are hard to drew which are almost useless. So if you want to drew large colored patterns on face, better to choose the other one with paint brush. This one is easy to carry and to wash off, may suitable for outside party.BTW, i found typo on the box: “ more than one wash way (should be may) be required”. This typo also make me concern about the quality.

Absolutely under no circumstances should you buy these for your children! My daughter opened up the package after finding it in her closet. I purchased it on Amazon a year and a half ago for her and we forgot about it. Going through the stencils with her I was stunned to find nazi symbolism and marijuana leaves! Are you kidding me?! Why has no one else mentioned this! Not only do I want my money back but this needs to be pulled from the shelves! Can you imagine a kid not knowing (my child didn’t) and using a swastica on them and all of their friends? Insane! The package features a child on the front! You would never know what’s nestled inside among the innocuous and cutesy symbols. Skip this purchase!

Have used this the past two weekends just at home with the kids since it was raining. I like how I have control of the paint since it's like a big crayon. The colors are great. The one thing I found which is easier is to wet a sponge and pat it on the area you want to paint and the paint just glides on. Once I did that everything was much more simpler. I will be using it again this weekend :) no allergies or irritation to it easy to wash off when they showered. My kids are 3 & 7 so face paint is a hit!

As an artist I was excited at the prospect of a crayon like face paint but these are the size of chubby crayons for little kids. There is no way people are getting the detail they are in those photos without extra work, such as brushes or sharpening these. Colors seem vibrant and these goes on and off smoothly. Just not what I was looking for in order to get clean lines and details- so overall I’m disappointed

My kids love to paint their bodies and I cringe every time they get out the face paint with brushes that inevitably get on clothes or the floor or furniture. I don't worry about that with this paint because it's not liquid! My kids can color themselves like a tiger in bright orange and black and then they easily wash it off with baby wipes or in the tub. Kids get to be creative and I get less mess. It's a win for me!
