Wow I love this shaver!
Shaver S9000 Prestige SP9885/35 paid £214 I pondered just about every model, including the i9000 with lots of features that I didn't want, eventually pulled the trigger on a S9000 (SP9885/35) which whilst a current model is an earlier generation, but uses the same cutters. Only had it a couple of weeks, but wow the shave is fantastic, seems ridiculous to say it but it's a good as a wet safety razor. Way better than my rather worn out Braun, which was never as good as the S9000 even with new cutter and foil. Build quality is great, it's very quiet, I like the wireless charging as it will also charge my phone and the S9000 can also be charged on any QI compatible charger (although Philips don't recommend it) The cleaning pod is most ingenious, and gets the shaver remarkably clean, (it uses the shaver motor to drive a pump that rinses the shaver cutters, returning the solution into the base which has a grid to trap the gunk) I like the way you can start the cleaning by just putting it in the stand when it's on and it starts the self cleaning process. You can clean the pods out and use your own cleaning solution, but I don't mind paying £25 for 6 pods if they last a while. I've had no issues with skin irritation with the S9000, which I occasionally had with my Braun. Very minor gripes, it has three very similar speeds, but it seems to default to the lowest speed initially. The head will be slightly damp after cleaning, but it smells okay. In short highly recommended.

Excellent close shave. Well made
Excellent shave but the detachable trimmer not so handy as built-in. It shaves as close as a wet razor. Cleaning fluid for the supplied cleaning pod is a bit expensive

The best of the best
Was originally bought for my son for Christmas until he told me he wouldn't use an electric shaver because he was worried about his sensitive skin. So I decided I would keep it for myself and it didn't disappoint. I already had a braun series 9 so one of the best but this philips 9000 turned out to be so much better because of everything it offers, like the lift and cut, it sensitive skin technology and the self sharpening blades. The shaver has three speeds and is SO MUCH QUIETER than the braun and performs a much closer shave than the braun. I bought the one with the seperate attachments but haven't used them yet but the QI charging pad is so much more convenient than the braun, it also came with a cleaning dock which doesn't need to be plugged in as the shaver powers the cleaning dock making it easy to use and it's cleaned in around a minute. I have now sold my braun and am so happy with the philips shaver. I got it in the black Friday sale so it was £249 a little expensive but my braun cost the same but if you want quality then I highly recommend the philips prestige 9000 it's excellent.

Philips Premium Shaver Review: Not Worth the Upgrade from 5000 Series
I'll keep this review concise and to the point. Having previously owned both the Braun 9000 series and Philips 5000 series shavers, I purchased this model based on promising reviews suggesting it might be the ultimate shaver. Compared to the Braun 9000, this shaver is noticeably smoother and quieter. It's gentler on the skin while still providing a close, silky-smooth shave. However, it's not Phillips' greatest product to date. When comparing it to the Philips 5000 series, I'd recommend saving your money and opting for the 5000 series instead. You'll get 99% of the performance at a lower price point. The package contents are good overall, but some choices are questionable. The inclusion of a wireless charger without a USB option seems impractical for travel, despite the provided case. Additionally, the trimmer is not built into the shaver, which is a drawback. The shave quality is satisfactory, but not significantly better than the 5000 series, despite claims of more cuts and a closer shave. The build quality is slightly more solid, though lighter, and the digital battery display is a nice touch. However, the overall shave experience and travel kit fall short of expectations. Summary: If I could choose again, I'd stick with the Philips 5000 series shaver, which performs exceptionally well. If needed, you can purchase the cleaning station and pod separately, which are compatible with the 5000 series. The only additional feature in this model is the nose and ear trimmer, which I don't believe justifies the price difference. All things considered, I recommend the Philips 5000 series as the better value option.

Great shaver
Great shaver at a great price, the charging dock is a nice touch and the nose hair trimmer is handy. Feels very high quality and gives a smooth shave.

Would never buy at full price but wow this is good
Decided to take the plunge after decades of using first crappy disposable razors, then went to posher versions with replaceable 5 blade heads and thought that was the peak. Trying this out was an awakening for sure - can shave wet or dry and basically come out with the same result in less time and hassle as using the best supermarket available razor available (you know the ones I mean, Mr Sword and Mr.Gazette). At full price this was about £800 or more which is crazy to me, but on a deal at 2/3 off I took the plunge and zero regrets - it's amazing. Can clean easily with water, and also use a cleaning pod which seems a mix of soap and oils to make it glide smoothly. Charges to full in about an hour with a charging pad. Only negative I would say is for the amount they wanted at full price I would think this would be made from titanium or silver from Mars - it's mostly plastic instead. That said the performance is crazy good. I don't think I'll be using razors again.
