The Little Book of Sociology packs a lot of fascinating and challenging information into a short space. It expertly covers many areas of sociology. It provides a concise, informative and accessible introduction to a vast subject and shows how relevant sociology is to understanding the complexities and contradictions inherent in social life. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. A brilliant concept.

I liked this book as it requires all the basic information which is required and it is also small enough to fit into a handbag for travelling

This is an accessible and inspiring compact guide to sociology.After a brief introduction there are four chapters titled: ‘What Is Sociology?’; ‘A Brief History Of Sociology’; ‘Major Topics In Sociology’ & ‘Sociology Today And Tomorrow’.The book concludes with a further reading list.Rasha Barrage’s 141-page ‘The Little Book Of Sociology’ is surprisingly comprehensive and an ideal introduction that should appeal to the general reader.

This is a great introductory book to sociology - very accessible and interesting. Personally I have a collection as coffee table books and they always spark conversation.

So much information yet easy to read. Highly recommended
