Growing up, these were a staple in our home and all our cousin's homes. Excellent quality.

Yes, as others stated, the odor is a bit strong right out of the packaging, but give it a few hours in the sun on the back porch and all is well. The stitching is strong, the coloring is as pictured, and the zipper is sturdy. The leather is soft and supple and really good quality. I used some scotchguard on it because it really is lovely and I want it to last a long time. After reading the reviews, many suggested polyfil for the stuffing. I found it too light and fluffy. Since I want to use this as additional seating, I visited the donate box in our garage. I pulled out 6 big bath towels and a buckwheat pillow. I started with the towels and then topped it with the buckwheat pillow before zipping it up. It's the perfect combination of soft and sturdy. I love it! I am definitely a fan!

I love the look of this pouf. Ordering it unstuffed definitely saves you some money. I used old sofa pillows and some blankets to fill it in. I read lots of reviews about the smell from the leather and let me just say, it's all true. It smells like a petting zoo in my living room. I stuffed a handful of dryer sheets inside, wiped it down with vinegar, sprinkled baking soda all over and inside and aired it outside for 2 days and I can still catch a whiff of it when I walk into the room. That said, I'd buy it again and I'd recommend it because of how nice it is and the smell has almost completely faded.

So after reading all the reviews I was SO curious to smell this thing. Oh, it's lovely and I can't wait to stuff it... once the smell dies down. I'd love to say it smells like fine raw leather but I am pretty sure they are tanning these things with human vomit and crushed stink bugs. That said, I have it airing out and once it loses its unique aroma, it's going to make a wonderful addition to my living room. Should you brave the stench and buy it? This is honestly a great price for real leather and good quality, sturdy stitching, so yes. It's a good buy. That said, you will have to air it out for a bit before you actually allow it into your home.

I’m giving it 5 stars bc of the price! Like it says you do have to stuff it yourself (I used old curtains, old sheets and some old towels) and I had to redo it a few times before i got it completely symmetrical and even looking (i was being a perfectionist and was happy with the end result) Also when i first opened it I panicked bc of how strong the smell was. Some of the other reviews had said that after a few days the smell would go away so I gave it a shot and they were completely right. I’ve had the pouf for two weeks now and smell absolutely nothing. It looks like the poufs that are hundreds of dollars. This is a steal!

I received the pouf promptly and well packaged back in Sep 2020 but just now getting around to a review. I stuffed it with old towels and a few pairs of jeans and other clothing items (that I was sure I'd be able to wear again but as it has been years, gave up on that). It was easy to stuff and you can make it as full as you want. It is sturdy and has held up well to use for month now. I am happy with this item and would definitely buy again AND recommend.

I was a little scared to order it because some noted a fragrance....boy am I glad I took the chance!! It's sooooo nice!! Rich color and great stitching detail on beautiful, thick leather. The zipper is very thick and looks durable. I had some left over stuffing and then added a piece of cardboard on top to help it to sit flat. It will need some time for the packing creases to release. No obnoxious fragrance just a strong leather smell that I'm sure will fade over time....nothing I couldn't live with if it don't. Over all I'm thrilled!!

These are really nice and look exactly how I wanted, but I’m finding it hard to stuff them in a way that makes them look as full as they should. I have stuffed enough old sheets, towels, blankets and pillows into these to sink a ship and they just compress over time and end up looking wrinkly and slightly deflated. It could be user error, but I’ve gone back a few times to fix them and fill them out more, and it just keeps happening. Boo. Not sure if some other kind of stuffing would work better.
