Surprising quality for the price
I didn't want what felt and looked like a toy without spending a fortune and that is exactly what I got. I disagree with previous reviews that the sound effects are too loud. I think they are the right volume to be heard especially if your at a party or venue. I love the fact that it is rechargeable and because I have just gotten it, can't rate 5 stars for durability until I have used it for a longer time than just 15 minutes. Anyway, if you want to complete a costume without breaking the bank than I highly recommend this particular light saber.

Good for what it is
This is exactly what you would expect. It was easy to put together and worked right away. It feels solid enough and looks good. There are some minor features I would like, like a way to clip it to a belt, and the speaker on the bottom to be a little better concealed. However, it wasn’t expensive and I’m happy with what it is.

More than I expected
It's an outstanding product with great looks, a low price tag, and a lot of fun. I use it to practice spinning and light combat with my friends. I've been using it for several hours and thus far it's held up well.

Great value!
You really can’t complain about this lightsaber for the price ($39.99). I haven’t had any duels with it and don’t plan to, as it is just part of a costume. So I can’t speak to the durability of the blade. But it doesn’t feel cheaply made. The little screws that come with it keep it securely in place (Allen wrench included). I’ve waved it around plenty and they haven’t loosened. You will also receive a rubbery “bandage” wrap that serves as a hand grip, which you can choose whether or not to use. The wrap along with the relatively light weight of the lightsaber make it comfortable to hold. As for the colors, they are exactly as shown in the video under the Q&A section. The light is mostly uniform throughout, maybe slightly dimmer toward the tip. It actually looks better in person than in the photo I included. It makes sounds when you power it on and off, when you switch colors, wave it around, or hit something (I only slapped the handle to test), as well as a constant hum while the light is on. Though some of them are a bit quiet and not quite movie quality, the humming and power on/off are a decent volume and pretty accurate sounds in my opinion. You can choose which color you’d like it to have when first powered up, by setting it as the color you used last before turning it off previously. That way you don’t have to suffer the embarrassment of cycling through blue and green, etc. in front of all your Sith friends. The only difference I see between some of the photos and the actual product is the tip, which appears a bit pointed in some. But is actually rounded (again, see video for accuracy). Plan to charge your saber up before use for optimal quality light. I believe the instructions say 3 hours, but it has some charge when you receive it and I think mine only took about an hour. It will light up when plugged in and turn off when it’s reached a full charge. But it doesn’t hum during this time, so no need to worry about that. Overall, this is an excellent lightsaber, especially for the price. If you are a serious collector or want replica quality, plan to spend near $300 or more. This is the best bang for your buck out there and I searched high and low before making this purchase. I would recommend this for anyone looking to complete a costume and save some money. Not to mention, you can use it to be Darth Vader one day and Luke Skywalker the next. Can’t beat that! I may even purchase another for a future Ahsoka costume.

Great saber , loud, but difficult charging issues
Great saber, but I can no longer charge it. My son misplaced his cable and nothing else seems to charge itI see that it has to be 5v 1a but I can’t seem to find a plug that works for it and we can no longer use it

Worth it
Very reasonable for the price. I have better ones that make sound when struck and much better lighting but much more expensive too. Nice prop.

Decent light saber... Pretty decent quality
The handle is metal instead of plastic so seems a lot more durable. Bright light and good sounds. Would benefit from a volume adjustment option to turn up or down though. **Please note** We almost returned it because we thought the sound stopped working but it was actually just turned off! So fyi - press and hold the button for 3 secs while it's in off mode to toggle sound on/off! Thankfully we figured it out before we returned it. Otherwise it's a decent light sabre and my 7 yr old son loves it!
